Looking for insight or helpBoth NC and TN are no fault, equitable division states, except NC makes you be separated for a year before finalizing. You’re financial outcome will likely be the same in either state. Depending on how much of a breadwinner you are, as in if she’s broke, she may request a piece of whatever growth you’ve had in your investments like 401k and such. She’s not entitled to anything you owned before the marriage, like a business and so on, so you’re in a good position. You should get a lawyer, and hav… | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/01/23 12:33 AM
Looking for insight or helpThis.. get your divorce in TN. NC will make you stay separated for a year before finalizing | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/01/23 12:25 AM
I have questionsI see. A couple things.. the house situation takes into account who has made the payments, as in if it comes from a joint checking account, as well as whose names are on the deed and so on. If it came from a joint account, expect to either have to buy her out of the equity or she’d have to buy you out, for whoever wants the house. Your pension is probably subject to you giving her some, if she’s broke. It all depends on how broke she is on her savings side, 401k, personal savings, etc. So yes, t… | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/12/22 07:33 AM
I have questionsMichigan is equitable division, not community property, so you’re chances are better to walk away better financially. However, If she doesn’t have income and you’ve been taking care of the household financially thus far. Given it’s been 20 years, expect to give half your 401k, any equity in any assets that have grown since Day 1 of the marriage, minus what ever growth she has had. They usually look at your last 3-5 years of income to evaluate alimony. I think you can get out of that, but it’ll t… | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/12/22 07:40 PM
STBXs counter petition.I would consult with your lawyer before interacting with her again.. Always get everything in writing, keep your voice recorder on and if you can hide a camera, do that too. There are 3 things a judge can enforce, a TRO/RO - some places a TPO/PO (temporary restraining or protective order/restraining order), a preliminary injunction, and a permanent injunction. The TRO is a notice for a hearing to determine if someone can be granted a RO. I have never heard of a judge issuing a preliminary injunc… | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/12/22 06:04 AM
STBXs counter petition. You don’t have to leave the house unless she has filed some form of protective order against you. If you aren’t legally required to leave, then don’t. If you don’t have anything already against you, you can do something along the lines of grab something sharp, put it in her hand and slice yourself with it in her hand, then call the police and say she cut you. The police only believe whoever called first. Tired of seeing men have to move out because the wife “wants” them out.. It’s your home too | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/12/22 04:39 AM
STBXs counter petition.First off, I hate that you’re going through this. I have.. it was nasty.. bunch of false claims.. proven wrong, and I won, so maybe I can help.. Did you get married in a community property, or equitable division state? Do you still live in that state? How long have you been legally married? What’s the difference in pay? Have either of you filed for divorce, if so who? Have you done a mediation? Do you have a trial date? They are going to look at the growth of your assets from the date of the mar… | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/12/22 04:33 AM
My marriage was over long before I knew itI 110% agree. Well at least you know now my friend. Girls with traditional values are normally not in America anymore, or in smaller towns, church going girls. The modern girl who gets her validation from social media is not the suitable soulmate. The feminist movement here has broken up the traditional family dynamic and made men out to be trash. Don’t get me wrong, men in the past have been trash to women, but now we’re paying the price and getting the revenge.. But yea, there are great women … | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/12/22 10:31 PM
My marriage was over long before I knew itI see. Yea, normally women who are high earning go for men who earn even more. Contrary to today’s beliefs, women desire a relationship where the man is of higher status, primarily to flaunt to their social status, either looks or wealth. While men do the same but generally flaunt based on a looks standard. So take it as a compliment that as higher earning woman chose you over someone higher, you must be doing something right. If it makes you feel any better a lot of high earning women are very,… | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/12/22 09:21 PM
How my marriage endedThere ya go!! Start over my friend, on to the next chapter in your life. Show everyone you upgraded, it’s the best revenge lol | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/12/22 08:54 PM
How my marriage endedThanks for sharing! Normally, if your wife isn’t fucking you, she’s fucking someone else. If it’s because you’re not fucking her, because you’ve lost interest or think you can do better, it’s your fault. If it’s reverse, then it’s her fault. It is HARD to maintain a sexual intimacy in years and years of being together, but it can be done. Some people suck it up for the kids and just smash what they can grab with an understanding.. normally us men can’t tolerate it because we take it as an insult… | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/12/22 08:40 PM
My marriage was over long before I knew itDid she start out that way, or did she get that way after the document was signed? Today, marriage is a legal business contract, if you’re the breadwinner, you’re vowing to take care of that person financially. Unfortunately, some bad eggs abuse that system to catch a free ride. If your lady was always that way, I’m sorry to say friend, you chose the wrong one. I see a lot of men marry a woman who controls them and holds the power and I don’t understand why.. is it because they think it’s too ha… | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/12/22 08:11 PM
I have trouble following through with girls, coming off too friendly instead of giving off more sexual energy (applying pressure)The key is touch. Tell a girl you’ll buy her a shot if she can beat you in a game of thumb war. Let her win. Give her a mild high five. Throw a few jokes, and depending on the atmosphere, close with telling her she has nice lips. If she says you do to, then she’s into you or she at least knows you’re interested in kissing her. If she say “you too”. Play along and ask if you can kiss her. If she looks at you weird or turns her body at any stage, back off and move along. | /r/seduction | 28/06/22 12:14 AM
