It really is. I grew up near there so I want to find nice things to say. There really is a lot of nice nature stuff around. It's lovely in the summer. A lot of the art and cultural stuff is cool. But JFC are people up their own ass.

Yeah I mean not to play armchair psychologist but I really do think many if not most people are uncomfortable with the idea that there isn't someone/something out there that would die/fall apart without them. Many people can't stand existing in a situation where some other person or animal isn't existentially dependent on them. My parents had six kids.
