Focus on getting to know her. Treat her as a human being you just met and want to get acquainted with. Find out what things you have in common (hobbies, taste in music, vacations, movies.. whatever) and expand on that. Ultimately if there‘s chemistry, all that should be easy. There‘s no trick. And most importantly: don’t expect any particular outcome and don’t be disappointed if it doesn’t lead to anything or if you get ghosted. Good luck and have fun.

Let it go, mate, too much drama already at the beginning and the age difference will likely become a problem

40M here. You can of course always make changes when you are unhappy with things but it gets harder the older you get and I‘m not sure whether it makes you necessarily more attractive.

…that’s all true if you are younger.

In my opinion „game“ and all that PU stuff is not for you if you have these issues you mentioned and tried for 5 (!) years already. I would take the softer route through group of friends or sports / book clubs, volunteering work etc. This way you can immediately connect with likeminded people rather than some randos. Otherwise this will all get very frustrating very fast and you will end up in a worse situation. Good look! Edit: And as some here have already mentioned, having no job is not a goo…

No need to vent about your failed interaction here for affirmation, get off the internet, touch some grass, relax

This is for once really sound advice and shows that you do not need all that PUA crap.

The correct answer would have been: „I‘m not your bro, dude!“

Frankly, if the issue is rooted that deeply, therapy is the only way to go. I'm not sure if this is about "learning" anything if you have this problem at 35. There must be something going on with OP that he can't control or isn't aware of that drives the other person away. I'd say it's statistically unlikely that that you go on dates and connect with 10 women and not one of them wants to sleep with you at some point...

Treat them like human beings and try to connect over stuff you both like. If there's any romantic connection or spark, the rest usually comes automatically. Stop following guides or reading books. Don't treat it like a science and have fun. Edit: Yes, social activities like dancing, sports, chess etc. are great start pointing. The first (and hardest) step is to get out of your comfort zone and meet new people.

If this pattern repeats too often, seek therapy to find out what’s happening. Ppl usually do not ghost unless they have a reason. Not saying that it‘s always on you but if it happens to you a lot, statistically there‘s a good chance that there may be stuff about you that comes across as off-putting (too needy, too emotionally invested, etc). Cheers and good luck!

Lol. Just say „hi” and start talking to her about something innocuous. Social Media interactions do not substitute real life communication. Anything you do on Social Media will just perpetuate the current situation of you being unable to talk to her. Good luck.

If there‘s chemistry, it can be quick. If there‘s none, it may never happen. But there‘s no specific buttons to push because everyone’s different.

Basic human interaction and building a relationship on a personal level? Sorry, but this question sounds like women are beings from outer space.

She's moving on and so should you. She was open with you from the beginning and now it's up to you to understand the signs she's giving you. If you caught feelings, try talking to her to see where she stands. If she doesn't want to or tells you it's over, MOVE ON! Cheers!

More likely than not she got second thoughts about her break up or is still grieving her 8 years relationship. Totally normal and not much else OP could do. And, yeah, don’t ask her best friend for advice, just talk to her and if she still rejects you, MOVE ON!

It should come up naturally in a conversation. For example, when you’re telling her that you‘re gonna go to the gym on the weekend, you can then ask her if she likes to be active too. If she tells you she’s working a lot, ask her in a playful manner if there’s anything she does for fun when she’s not working, etc. In general, these questions usually come up far more into the conversation. Start with something light, a comment about a photo or a recent or upcoming event in your city that may like…
