| 0 | TIL in America any single mother can point at a random guy and claim he is the father. If said man cannot prove he is not the father withing 30 days, he is legally the father. And did I mention, if the child is over 2 years, you have no right to use a paternity test as evidence?I realize that but it's gonna be hard to prove intent. If everything happened like he said it did, then yes it's wrong as she should be punished. But how are they going to prove it? If she claims that she is 95% sure he is the father, and he is not, then she was just wrong. Let's say Doc did have sex with her (I know he didn't but I'll get back to that) however at the time she was have been sleeping with other men. She believes that Doc is the dad and a paternity test is administered with the results negative. That is not fraud, that is just guessing/assuming/believing wrong. However Doc said he didn't sleep with her though but there is no way to prove that (at least that I know of) so basically it becomes her word vs his.
