There's two posibilities I could think of: She might have approched the officers right away spewing her "he assaulted me" nonsense so naturally they listened to her. or (and I'm not aware of his exact wording but I think i remember reading he said he "reported an assault") The police didn't know he was the one that reported it in, thought a bystander reported it in, and when reporting to the scene of an assault they see it's between a man and a women so naturally they assume the woman was the on…

In one thing I read by him he said she called around three times and the police said something like they'd send someone over when they get the chance. But when he called and reported an assault they responded within minutes with a bunch of officers
