In the most negative way. The whole point of the struggles of our parents and grandparents was to make it easier for their children. And then all that is done after is complain that they have it easy. I thought that was the idea

Recalibrate perspective. So, change the way they think by exposing them to the horrors of destruction. Yeah that's a great idea.

Sickens me too to hear spoiled kids complaining about shit that doesn't matter. But there are far better things to use that can fix that. Hard work is one. But full on war time is a bit much

Again, wishing that people experience the real horrors just for a character building moment is horseshit. Parents and grandparents of the first world went through all those troubles with the aim that their descendants wouldnt have to. All the work so that we could have a better life. And then when that better life happens we claim it's made us soft. I'd rather be soft at peace than have to experience a bombing, regardless of character building.

I dont think you understand what war is. It didnt make people stronger. It bred hate and distrust and In fact for many millions it tore them to shreds. So if we dunk you in a war I'm pretty sure youd shit your pants and die, like most everyone else. Stop trying to say war is a good character builder because it isnt.

Poseidon raped her in Athena's temple, and Athena, enraged, cursed her to look so hideous that men turned to stone upon seeing her.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
