Those parts of the world are more gynocentric than others. In the US for example, while people get a lot of backlash if they don't serve women on a daily basis, you can still exist, but in those parts, you are automatically labeled as gay and shun away from society. Basically, being single, gay, not having a wife or gf is out of the question... and most guys actually like it that way.
