Race is much less arbitrary than class. Race is actually a highly fluid social concept that isn't based on phenotypes or anything found in DNA. Don't forget that Nazis weren't just going after racially defined groups such as the Jews and Roma. There were many groups shipped off.

But if we make parental responsibilities something you can discharge so easily, of course this will happen. Yeah, she could. A woman or a married couple can always discharge their parental rights by giving the baby up for adoption or in some areas they can even surrender the kid no questions asked (in other areas it's abandonment).

Well hell, you just convinced me. Men should have the right to opt out of parenting. But what about the kids? It makes sense on an individual level that dad should be able to disown them, but on a societal level there will be hell to pay getting people to help with raising those single-parent kids. Ugh, now I understand why society created marriage and traps men and women in it.

Unfortunately, this does mean that men shouldn't be able to prevent the mother of the child from getting an abortion. I agree with the principle of women having the right to decide what happens with their bodies, unless there was conception by deceit or if she raped him. If she took his sperm without his consent, I feel he has rights to his DNA and should be able to call for an abortion. What about his bodily autonomy? She's violated him. (And now my inbox will be full of hate mail)

I participate in rape culture. Yeah, I do. I participate in rape culture by condemning rape, holding rapists of all genders accountable, criticizing rape culture itself, and supporting survivors. Ha. Durrr. I can has thoughts? Keep in mind some some women are taught from childhood on to view all men as potential predators from which they have to protect themselves. It's literally brainwashed into girls. She probably is not consciously aware of her bias because it's so fundamental to her concept of masculinity. We need to stop teaching children this if we want adults to stop believing it.

I think it shows that this artist is simple-minded and has a flawed concept of gender liberation. If I were set the task of showing how to level the these two genders, I wouldn't think of a bulldozer. I'd think of building up on that short bar like a mini-skyscraper. Uh, because an unarmed person is still a potentially lethal threat to a woman, who has less strength than a man. It's probably a gut instinct to see unarmed assailants or suspects as highly dangerous.

Thank you for explaining that. The disguising molestation as regular nurturing hits home. There was a lot of massaging, tickling, and cuddling in bed when I was little that felt wrong, I liked it but dreaded it and hated when I was told to reciprocate. It would be less cruel if they kept the two things separate.
