| 2 | Is this normal in the US?I believe a marriage visa is easier than you’re making it out to be. First, you can get work authorization shortly after filing. You don’t need to wait 2 years to work. As for costs, what do you mean “significant income?” Is there an income cutoff you must meet? If so I have never heard of it. the costs associated with this path, as far as I understand, are the costs of a lawyer to file on your behalf, plus the filing fees.
