Yeah because chinchillas are smart animals. Theyre like cats they wont come to you directly but they cuddle and play with you. When I had mine anytime I was down from something od always pick up my chinchillas and it would cuddle with me while I was playing on my pc. Also you can hug them and they dont bite. Overall great animals.
