Thanks, I was just giggling to myself like an idiot but I'm glad my comment touched you. :)

i would suggest giving them a chance, they are just there to vent. they care about the rights of men, it's just funny to poke at the crazier ideas that end up here, and sometimes the harsher ideas are upvoted. why can't we all just laugh about it?

why would someone downvote a bot? like seriously, what is the point of that?

something dryly sarcastic and witty.

how'd that work out?

wow, that was pretty good.

would it bother you if unattractive women hit on you.

Slut marchers like to expose themselves in public... I wonder what would happen if men did that. so we agree that nothing would happen.

in what context would this happen?

How is this relevant to the discussion about meaning of the word creep? i don't know. you brought it up... Well, I don't really care about motivation. It is a consequence they are aware of. yes, but the motivation of the creep walks would be to make other people uncomfortable. that makes it very different. Usually we shouldn't, but sometimes we should, see Muhammad cartoons in Jyllands Posten. i don't know what these are, link?

my bad, that's totally wrong. i think i was trying to make the point that women don't have the same types of acceptable social groups as men. someone was talking about sewing circles or something.

what are we talking about? sorry, i've had a lot of people sending me messages and it's gotten pretty confusing.

racist/homophobic/transphobic or sexist, all of which are problems. Gay Pride parades make homophobes uncomfortable but that's not why they have gay pride. Imho, making people uncomfortable isn't necessary bad. but it should be taken into consideration. we shouldn't try to make others uncomfortable.

Anyone here can tell you that "creep" is a word that women use to shame and control men, and usually for shallow and misandristic reasons. i have never heard this before. how does this allow women to control men?

football is a several billion dollar industry. it's hard to say it receives much derision with as much promotion and ads as it gets. you seem to imply that sewing is the only hobby any women needs. and that it is the only thing women want to do. The adage women and children first paints the picture best imo. A call by men for men to sacrifice themselves for the whole men are just as likely to create in-groups in high school as women. although i do agree that men are viewed as disposable by our c…

ok, i can't answer that. the way i see it is that football and other sports are socially acceptable past times and professions for men. i don't see the same kinds of institutions for women.

listen, i'm not trying to troll. i'm sorry you took it that way. i'm merely implying that being called a creep does not have the same implications socially as being called a slut.

I make fun of men for liking sports. I deride the billions spent to pay professional game players to pummel each other for our entertainment. that doesn't make it any less socially acceptable. Women have had their sewing circles or Tupperware parties which were female driven personal hobbies. WOW, that was sexist. I would also conjecture that women do not need an organizing event to create the kind of group bond men use these things for. based on what? Women have a natural ingroup preference whi…

so there is no possibility of someone being uncomfortable with another? Just so happens that the description doesn't match the way it's used now, which is simply shaming. says, who? i say this when i am uncomfortable around another person.

time immemorial. that doesn't really make since because fandom culture started so recently. besides no one makes fun of men for liking football, or any other sport. those things are seen as socially acceptable. do women have any personal hobbies with that much acceptance.

guys already do this, for instance, streaking.

so you have never been creeped-out by another person?
/r/MensRights05/11/13 11:33 AM

but what's the point? the reason people call another person a creep is because they they are made uncomfortable by that person. (generalizing here) so how is getting an entire group of people together with the sole intent making other people feel uncomfortable going to help the situation?
/r/MensRights05/11/13 11:29 AM

you seem to be doing this to make other people uncomfortable rather than making yourself more comfortable.

yes but "geek culture" is generally accepted now, while twilight isn't. don't get me wrong, i don't like twilight myself, and have made fun of it on more than one occasion.

i joined the marine corps so much of my humor is half-joking-half-serious comments about situations. i can get a room full of people to laugh sometimes (not really on command, but it happens) and i have found the most important thing to being funny is saying the first thing that comes to mind. now this is more of a way to start out. i strongly believe in experience, such as ceasarfecit said, but saying the first thing that comes to mind will give you feedback which is important. this will teach …
