If you think you have had any freedom in the last 50 years, or ever, you’re delusional. The cia planted crack cocaine in our communities to destroy our family unit. They introduced marijuana laws to imprison us. The infected us with syphilis to see the affects of the disease and didn’t give us the cure when it was developed. No, brother, you have never been free in America. That is just a myth that we’re sold. Much like how we men bought and sold as slaves.

I am fated to never be a US senator. My grandfather died homeless on the streets, the ORange county Sheriff ran my father the hippie out of town so many times, that his shitty hearse would be pull over as soon as he crossed the border. my family isn’t prestigious enough to do anything like that. No matter how much I pull my head out of my ass I will never be a senator from California. There are lots of things we can control, there are tons more we cannot.

I would have to disagree with that statement. There are times when a contract appears by default. And ought too. Contracts appearing out of nothingness didn’t develop on our legal system for funzies.

You know if you’re living together and publicly declared you’re married, the state forces a marriage contract on you. Common law marriage is a thing in a few states.

How is it grounds for the low skill worker at the front desk to be fired? What is a clerk supposed to do when a person goes to them saying they feel threatened at the gym? Ignore the patron? Like, if the gym has a form on hand for a person to sign, that means this gym has a procedure for sort of thing. It’s not like the clerk was captain underpants and took to step to invent a form for OP to sign. No, the gym has dealt with threatening people before, they have a form on deck for people to sign w…

You think the EU experiment and common market is really that much of a failure? While the loss of the U.K. certainly does not bode well for the EU, the U.K. Was never really 100% in it. They kept their Pound, for example. I am not sure how people will judge the EU in 100 years. I do not think they would laugh. I mean, a common market is generally a good thing. Technically true that the value of any degree is diminishing. However, the delta is so massive between no degree and any degree that even borrowing 100k for a underwater feminist studies degree is still worthwhile. Any degree is not just a "modest" increase income, you see. It is a dramatic increase. (Over a lifetime, of course) I am not attacking the underlying tenants of your thesis. Well, you know the silver age brought in new superheroes. Barry Allen, Hal Jordan & Johnny storm all replaced well known and loved superheroes. Same too in more recent times. Wally West became the flash and Kyle Raynor the green lantern. There is a history of replacing heroes. Perhaps the problem is is that instead of like how kid flash became flash, they just invented a transgender lesbian who had access to the speed force and dumped xer into the universe.

We were paying for their health care in the first place. People without insurance still have access to medical care, they just use the emergency room as a more expensive alternative than if they have access to a primary care doctor. What's interesting is that related languages assign different gender to the same thing. Or that farmer in Latin looks feminine but is actually masculine. Agricola is the noun for farmer. It has feminine endings but you wouldn't say: "magna Agricola" or big farmer to keep the genders the same... you would say magus Agricola even though that looks weird as fuck.

It's rather ironic that the Southern Christian Leadership Conference is known for non-violence. The problem with your post is that you did not define what feminism is. You dreamt up a feminist in your head and attacked that. For example, are you opposed to feminism as defined as to what Susan B. Anthony wanted? Isn't equal suffrage a feminist idea? I'm not making a comment to the content of your post, I'm just saying that you did not hold yourself to the same conversational standard that you held your feminist to.

I agree that diversity does not lead to strength. It's a disastrous policy. Homogeneous populations are always better. Okay, so you don't think that when a country is about 20% the non-dominate culture the country isn't diverse. I was thinking all this time that you would agree that about 1/5 people being not white people would make a place diverse. If we define diverse as being greater than a 20% mix, then yes... I am talking about when the United States was founded. It was founded in 1776. In 1776 the United States was a very diverse nation. The continental congress ratified the American constitution in 76, actually it was like 74 I think but there is some debate on the exact day and time. If we're being pedantic, the constitution was ratified in 1789. However, the normalized population of Africans, and then their descendants has stayed around 10% and 25% so you agree with me that the United States has always had a sizable minority and became strong when being diverse.

The USA was founded in 1776. The 1790 census puts the black population at about 15 of the population. I would wager that at its founding, the USA had a similar population of black people as it did in the 1790 census 14 years later.

Amend the constitution, you mean. The 26th amendment gave people18+ the right to vote. What is interesting about the USA is that there is no positive right to vote. Nowhere does it say that people have the right to vote. It just says who cannot have the vote taken away. In a hypothetical situation where the 26th is appealed... States can set the age of 40 for enfranchisement. And that would be legal. Of course some states may have different rules, but from a federal POV it would be cool.

Imagine some news story in a ladies magazine pointing out how the maker of Venus razors is advertising in this sub. There can be, of course, more niche companies that can advertise here... But they probably don't have the advertising budget to make reddit profitable.
