Strawman (from Merriam-Webster): a weak or imaginary opposition (as an argument or adversary) set up only to be easily confuted That's what you're doing. Y'all set up an exremist definition of feminism and claim that's what feminism is because it's so ridiculous and extremist as to seem unconscionable and easily refuted. That this sub seems to have redefined it doesn't mean the rest of the world shares your definition.

I don't know every acronym out there. Shockingly enough, I use whole words most of the time.

I don't hate men. But nice reddiquet.

The misogyny in this thread and this sub disgusts me, so I guess we're even. I wasn't on the "MRAs hate feminists, so they must hate women" bandwagon before, but I'm starting to see where they got the idea. As far as I can tell, y'all have redefined "Strawman" to mean the exact opposite of what it actually does.

So civil. Can't believe Men's Rights gets a bad rap.

VAWA? No. Don't know what that means. But I can say strawman.

Feminism doesn't advocate male disposability, it advocates the notion that women are equal to men, should have the same rights and responsibilities, and receive equal pay for equal work.

Probably not. There are rules on how evidence can be introduced and both sides usually need to know about it, so that the other side can make any relevant objections re its validity.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
