Well put. Point taken. Looks like more reading and finding situations where I can practice what I've been learning.

I will try to get to the gym more. On days when I can't go to the gym, I do several sets of pushups and crunches, but it's nowhere near a full work out. I've had another girl at work show interest, but I think I need to make more opportunities for myself to be in social situations where I can talk to women and work on my game.

You're probably right. I went from 190 to 170. I can squat about 180 lbs and bench 105. Those aren't great numbers, but it's a lot more than when I started. I'll check out the post you wrote, thanks for the info

Just getting a chance to reply now. Thanks for the info. I've been steadily trying to build up a life apart from sitting with my wife on the couch in front of the TV all night, and it feels great. I think what I need to remember the most is that they're just words and I don't have to pay much attention to them.

I absolutely love that response. I get stuff like that all the time, where she asks me to do things that are obvious and I was already planning on doing them. Thanks!

I found TRP before MRP, and most of the stuff I read on there formed my impression. My books should arrive today...I'll continue to STFU, lift, and read for now.

You are the leader. Give her your best face and feed her positive emotions when she is acting how you want. Only pull away and start to limit your interactions with her when she is not- and even then start every single day with a loving, upbeat, positive attitude and do your best to draw her into that frame. If she refuses after several attempts, THAT is when you pull back a bit. Very insightful and helpful. Puts it in perspective...seems like I've been reading too much TRP and not enough MRP.

Thanks for the help. I'm slightly overweight, but I could do much better. Never lifted before, and I find that I enjoy the chalelnge. I'm going to move on to MMSLP once I finish the first 2 books. I got to keep in mind that I'm doing this for myself, and that everything will fall into place as a consequence of this.

Thanks. I have been reading on this site for about a week and bought NMMNG and WISNIFG. While waiting for them to arrive, I started a 5X5 lifting routine, eating better, and investing more time into mys side business. I've read a lot of the newbie posts and basically limit my interactions with her, opting to STFU whenever I can. I've started being more assertive with her...when I would usually do something that needs to get done on my own, I've assertively said 'I need you to do X' (where X is s…

How long have you been married? Do you have kids? I just discovered trp and I think that it might be the solution to our intamacy problems. . I want to see how this can work in a marriage. Thanks.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
