You probably need some time man, give it a couple of months or so, then you'll be okay.

Read up on Psychedelic experiences and happiness, it's a long topic and I can't really elaborate right now, but it certainly helps for some people.

Thank you, the way I figured it, I got two options, face it or go into a downward spiral. I chose the former.

Already on it. The wheelchair might actually not come until way later, my symptoms are not progressing that fast.

Don't beat yourself up man. That's the worst thing one can do, don't bully yourself. Work towards your goals but bullying yourself into doing things just leads into frustration and depression. And you don't know how strong you are, until being strong is the only option you have mate.

Selenium and Vitamin E, yeah been seeing it a lot regarding this disease. Basically oxidation occurs in this disease and to combat that Selenium is taken.

This is what I've been trying to do for the past month, looking at how people react to disability and figuring out ways around them. In the west, I've come across this thing where no one will help you if you are in the street and falling down with a disability and the exact opposite if you are in an eastern country, if there is a hint of weakness in the other person, physically people will help you up if you need to go up stairs or otherwise.

Not really sure, another 5 maybe 10 years. Severity is highly variable. Some people have this disease and not even know it.

I am thinking this is the right way to go after about a month passing and really understanding all my options and my life. Really felt like getting married might not be the right way to go but I'm rethinking that now, becoming successful is my only option.

I took your first point to heart, I've done more in the past month than I ever thought I'd even do. I've gone rock climbing, rappelling, ran a 5k marathon, rode an ATV, bungee jumped and so much more. The 7th point is what I'm slowly working towards now, have been researching other countries to move to with regards to medical care, disability access and other things among them. Canada, thinking about that and my law studies, if I do intend to move there, only option remains for me is Software En…

His main thing which he talked about in a TED talk about adapting to what life throws at you is relatable as all hell.

My mutation is quite severe in the DNA sense, but till now at age 20 it hasn't affected me that much. Future is uncertain, but adapt and move on right.

I've made a list of nearly 25 supplements which lessen the symptoms. Glutamine is one of them.

There are so many things more important than women, relationships, obviously, it is needed but making it the most important thing is a path to a sad life.

Mostly just say "Not much at all really, never feel like it". Obviously lying through teeth but eh, whatever.

Go to a mental health professional, not just one, take several opinions. Maybe try nootropics.

ORIGINAL POST 20 years old, lurking for a year maybe more. My Main Aim: Please do not try to comfort me, give it to me straight, I'm sick and tired of all these Blue Pillers telling me it is gonna be okay. I need guidance on how I can deal with this and still be a stoic rock. Background: Got diagnosed with this muscle wasting disease called FSH Muscular Dystrophy. Affects your face, shoulders, back, abdominal muscles and legs, basically everything you need for movement. I will be dependent on ot…

Holy shit. That's fucked up. One of the top posts says something on the lines of wanting woman to like you for who you are is the equivalent of fat acceptance.
