Just off the top of my head, here are 50 different types of rape accusations: True Forcible Rape [aka “rape rape”, “ACTUAL rape”, “Pre-Feminist Rape”, “REAL rape” or “Classic Rape]: Stranger jumps out of bushes and grabs a woman, raping her at gunpoint or knifepoint. 1	How prevalent are false rape accusations? False accusations are NOT a subset of reported rapes. False accusations are a subset of rape ACCUSATIONS. The important difference being that it is entirely possible (and I would say, likely) that there are more false accusations of rape than there are actual rapes. 1	Does anybody here ACTUALLY record their sexual encounters as insurance against a rape-accusation? You're assuming that prosecutors WANT to prosecute innocent people. They don't. What's the upside of getting a guilty verdict if it's later shown that you sent an innocent man to prison? A rape case where video exists that proves the encounter was consensual would most likely never see the inside of a courtroom. As far as the legalities: "one party consent"--that's you--makes it legal in most states. If nobody ever sees the recording, who cares if it's illegal? What's MORE illegal? You videotaping her, or her falsely accusing you of rape? Would you rather go to prison for rape, or to jail for videography?
