I'm commenting on the downvotes, not to your reply. You seemed civil, which is why I replied agin

I used to be a regular, because I think it's seriously unfair how nobody cares when injustice happens to men. I haven't visited this sub in a while, and the reaction I got makes me sad. What you see in these threads is what happens when attempts at nuance get met with hostility; anyone who likes to question things leaves. This time I don't think I'll be coming back.

I don't think she made her point very well, but she does have one. I've spent a lot of time around muslims and black people and it's never put me in danger.

Read before you comment. HPV has no effect on men.

Guys, this argument is not one you want to engage in. They're right to give the vaccine to women first. HPV has no effect on men. It's undetectable, and does no harm. It gives women cervical cancer and kills them. The only possible reason to give the HPVvaccine to men is so that they can't pass it to women.

In that case, I suggest you start every discussion about sexism with exactly this line, so you can refer back to it later. It's probably also worth mentioning that societal injustice favoring men still outstrips societal injustice favoring women (if you agree). You might find that people still don't believe you, so you may need to have some go-to examples of stuff you've done to help out with societal bias against women. This usually still isn't enough for me to avoid being painted as the bad gu…

You didn't have to stop being so feminist to become an MRA. You can correct injustices against men and against women at the same time, and there are endless examples of both. I think the only correct position is too belong to both groups.

Yes, the internet is hostile to men's rights activists. To them we sound like the KKK.

Wooooah there. You're getting pretty close to blaming the victims.

You can't really learn things if you aren't free to be wrong. Cut the poor girl some slack.

In general, people hear what they expect to hear and not what you say. They have a different context, usually with different social motives. It's only when you're talking to people who know you and who like what you're saying that you don't end up chasing straw-men down rabbit holes.

The female form (just like the male form) is inherently beautiful I understand the point you're making, but this supporting idea is trivially wrong. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You should be pointing out that there are more potential interested parties than oglers.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
