Two things. Time...just the passage of time creates distance from the situation and brings clarity. And secondly, repeatedly swallowing the red pill. I found I had to read this stuff over and over for a few months. You cannot deprogram yourself overnight.

You’ve got to push forward. Ditching the nice guy mindset won’t happen overnight. For me it took months. I felt very “out of character”, but that’s just it...I had been playing a character.
