| 0 | Next time try supporting your own?The official rules for Best Picture allow for 10 nominations since 2010, although since the 2010 Oscars nominations in that category has been about eight or nine. I'm having the most difficult time finding the rules for the number of best director nominees, but I don't understand why they wouldn't just open that category up more also.
