Wouldn't want to hurt their precious fee-fees. What makes it even worse is that a good majority of these SJW's haven't actually been sexually assaulted in any way, shape or form.

One teacher I know was recently asked by a student not to use the word “violate” in class—as in “Does this conduct violate the law?”—because the word was triggering. This is /r/TumblrInAction material right here. Wow.

No you shitlord African Americans are the most disadvantaged group in society so by bringing them, and only them up we can establish true equality! /s

After all this bullshit, I really hope more people decide to abandon feminism. This is not the fault of "rape culture", but rather the direct result of modern feminism.
/r/MensRights09/12/14 02:50 AM

It's easier to say you were raped than to say that you regret your decisions. A lot of women don't understand the implications of making false accusations, especially while attending a university.
/r/MensRights08/12/14 09:52 PM

This is why I'm so grateful for the internet. False accusations, especially at academic institutions no longer go unnoticed. Granted, this is partly because so much attention is drawn to the initial accusations, but it's still so much better than before. But what pisses me off to no end is that now feminists will somehow twist this story and make it seem like it's okay to accuse innocent men because women shouldn't be afraid to demand "justice". Now there's going to be outrage about "victim sham…

I'm going to play devil's advocate and say that some women experience debilitating symptoms. Like the kind of pain that has them curled up in the fetal position for an entire day. But not everyone does! If your symptoms are so awful you have to miss work, get a fucking doctor's note. I'm not going to miss work because I want to sit at home in sweatpants and eat chocolate.

This is what I'm afraid of. Granted, actual criminal courts don't do this shit, but kangaroo courts in colleges do. "Yeah Jimmy totally raped me last night" and BOOM. Jimmy has just lost his scholarship and his chance at an education without being able to do anything about it.

Unfortunately, his sounds about right. I've had multiple friends tell me about situations where they were taken advantage of, but they always followed up with "it's whatever" even though it was obviously rape. Unless they were sexually assaulted by another man they never called it rape. Basically, men are not allowed to say that a woman raped them.

I've been molested while drunk. Like, legitimately molested. I know that if I wasn't so intoxicated I wouldn't have put myself in that situation in the first place. Whether I was drunk or not wouldn't change the fact that the perpetrator was fucked in the head, but I could have been more careful. There's nothing sexist about that. It's cause and effect, as much as I don't like to admit that. If you get drunk around shady people, bad things happen. The end. These bad things shouldn't happen to an…

This article pissed me off because the message I got was that it's okay to kill your children so long as you feel that the whole world is against you.
/r/MensRights21/11/14 11:12 PM
14

So she stabs him, he covers for her, and she continues with the psychotic behavior but it's his fault for not reporting it? If he did in fact report the stabbing I'm guessing morons like this would twist the story and make it seem like he was trying to take "her" children away. "Look at this poor, tormented woman who couldn't bear to leave her children alone in the world!"
/r/MensRights21/11/14 09:16 PM

Yup! IIRC there were other women claiming that they had been threatened. I'm guessing theirs were falsified as well.

In the females' case.

The only reason to not approach the police when receiving a threat is the overly likely chance that the person actually found would turn out to be affiliated to the target That's what I was thinking as well, except some of these "activists" were probably stupid enough to send death threats to themselves.
/r/MensRights17/11/14 09:44 PM

I'm talking about the so-called "death threats" the women received. This one is actually real.

The shirt is definitely workplace-inappropriate. But offensive and oppressive? Seriously? How fucked in the head do you have to be to get triggered by someone's shirt? I'm pretty darn sure he's wearing the shirt because he has no concept of social norms, not because he is actively working against keeping women out of STEM. I saw a thread on a women's subreddit earlier and one of the comments said something along the lines of "And this is why there aren't any women in STEM careers". Feminists whi…

They take a Women's Studies 101 class and learn all about the wage gap and patriarchy and think they know everything about the world.

Don't get me wrong, I knew women who worked as well to pay rent and bills and everything, but they were still ahead of men in the regard that every single one of them got a scholarship that covered 25% of their very pricey degree.
/r/MensRights13/11/14 05:50 AM
7

Yeah let me just use my male privelege to pull $40K a year out of my ass! PS I'm not actually a dude but whatevs I just thought it was horrible that all my male friends worked 20-40 hours a week on top of studying their asses off to pay off some of their student loan debt while all the women I knew received scholarship after scholarship. Even the black guys didn't get half as much aid as the white women.

It was annoying because the questions went like this: "How many women experience sexual harassment? a. 12% b. 28% c. 34%" So you really couldn't BS it, as you needed 70% to pass. And it was in the format of videos so you couldn't skip anything. It made me sad.
/r/MensRights13/11/14 03:38 AM
2

But how many women actually make it through the coursework? I would hope someone who holds an engineering degree knows what they're doing...
/r/MensRights13/11/14 01:53 AM
10

Or take into account the oppression they face as a female engineering student. Because the $11K per year in financial aid the school gives you for having an innie instead of an outie is evidence that the patriarchy is holding them back.

Uh asking a SAHM to do some housework while you bust your ass 10 hours a day isn't abuse, and it sure as hell isn't "enforcing traditional gender roles".

When I had to do the army's bullshit sexual harassment training they actually asked you about the 200% true statistics presented in the training. Worst four hours of my life.

"When the barista hands you your coffee, remember not to rape her!" "If you hold a door for a woman, please don't rape her!" "When a woman enters your shop, try not to rape her!" Yeah this shit is getting kind of ridiculous.
/r/MensRights12/11/14 11:26 PM
10

That's just a waste of funding then. Profs are paid per credit hour/number of classes they teach, I believe. So the school will be paying him an extra $3K-5K a year to teach two students. Must be some mighty special students for the school to do that. /s EDIT: Just noticed it's a high school, not a college. Oops.

Because that ended well.
/r/MensRights12/11/14 07:00 PM

I'm not too worried about that. My former STEM-oriented university accepted pretty much every woman that applied. Only a handful graduated in their original majors. The rest went to business or psychology because they were still taking Calc I their junior year. Affirmative action absolutely does not make the world a better place.
/r/MensRights12/11/14 06:59 PM
1

Of course! It's just when people hear men's rights that's exactly what they assume.
/r/MensRights12/11/14 06:00 PM
50

This isn't even men's rights, this is equality. Not that we need a draft or anything since the military actually turns a lot of people down, but it's the thought that counts. EDIT: I understand the MRM is basically egalitarianism. But when people think men's rights they think misogyny and shit. I'm saying that equal rights = equal responsibility, and this is one of the first laws I've seen in the US that promotes just that.
/r/MensRights11/11/14 09:44 PM

I think the problem is that ordinary people (not the ones that rant about this for a living) often get sexual harassment and sexual assault confused.
/r/MensRights11/11/14 05:01 PM
11

Feels > facts. You're also supposed to get told to check your privilege.
/r/MensRights10/11/14 03:17 AM

The 10% statistic is bullshit, actually. Whenever colleges or researchers conduct surveys trying to figure out how often women get raped, the numbers mean nothing. (IIRC there was something posted here about a recent MIT survey) They aren't asking "did someone engage in intercourse with you against your will". They basically ask about any unwanted contact or harassment. So a drunk dude grabbing my ass at a party would be grouped with an actual rapist.
/r/MensRights09/11/14 07:34 AM
2

Going off your first sentence... It's stupid to just do whatever you want and demand that there be no consequences. You know why I don't walk around at night dressed like a hooker? Because I will be treated like a hooker. That isn't discrimination.
/r/MensRights09/11/14 07:28 AM

No, this implies that people who are fucked in the head are dangerous. Normal men don't need to be taught to refrain from roofie-ing strangers' drinks.

But you do make a good point. (I would edit my original comment but I'm on mobile sorry) The IRL feminists I meet are lower middle class. The active ones I see on the internet are usually fairly well off.

I'm talking about a lot of the outspoken ones I've seen on the internet. The ones writing commentary and articles often are.
/r/MensRights08/11/14 01:01 AM
7

Of course, silly, men aren't allowed to have standards!
/r/MensRights07/11/14 10:28 PM
5

Your comment summed it up perfectly. The idea that someone will always have it worse and we can't do anything to help them is such bullshit. America provides more foreign aid, whether it's money or military support, than any other nation in the world. So why can't we focus our activism there as well? Why do we ignore impoverished women being stoned to death for going to school in favor of upper middle class white women who are upset because a man said hello on the street?
/r/MensRights07/11/14 10:22 PM
4

Tampons are $5 a month. Upper middle class women should not be complaining.
/r/MensRights07/11/14 10:19 PM

How sheltered and delusional do you have to be to think that a stranger who smiles at you on the street wants to hurt you?

Yeah, this is what people don't seem to get. If I'm sober enough to hold a normal conversation (albeit with a couple slurred words here and there) then I'm sober enough to consent. Yes, I might regret being so careless the next morning, but if it is someone I would absolutely never have sex with even if they were the last person on earth then I wouldn't have done it in the first place. If I literally can't stand up then yeah maybe I'm being taken advantage of. Not enough people in our society ha…

Like an earlier post on this sub said, it is not my job to "empower" anyone. This movement is basically saying "give us more power but no more responsibility".

I would understand Muslim women, for example, using such facilities since their religious beliefs require them to be very modest outside their home. Other than that, it's bullshit. Nobody's going to stare at you at a gym unless they're socially retarded or you're being obnoxious. The majority of people there go to work out, not pick up women. Grow up.

Rapists, male and female, are fucked up people that make up a very small portion of the population. You can't just tell them not to rape because they are fucked in the head. So damn right I'll cover my ass cheeks when dressing up for the club. Damn right I'm going to watch my drink like a hawk. Damn right I'm going to CC if I'm walking home alone at night. I'm not paranoid and don't buy into that bowl of m&m's bullshit, but I'm still going to be cautious because I know that there's a small numbe…

There's so many women out there who think that a man saying hello or glancing at them automatically equates with objectification.

I did too. The mere thought of UCB makes me shudder.

No, you make a good point, even if it's a little off topic. Young people are forced to get degrees and jobs as soon as possible and nobody really knows what they're doing or why. At least that's how I see the problem.

I think I found a scale like that somewhere, but it doesn't account for a lot of things and it gives you sooo many bonus points if you're gay/female/minority/otherkin/insert whatever new bullshit delusional teenagers have come up with here. You're really strong for making it through that sort of childhood. The thought of that life drives a lot of people to succeed. I don't know what your life is like right now, but I'm guessing you got a good education and a decent job and you're being told to c…

Us and the academies. It's an engineering/flight school, so not a lot of females. If you're curious PM me. They don't report it as anything lower than 20% and I think they just blindly accepted literally every single female that applied this year, but when I was there, it was pretty darn low.
/r/MensRights01/09/14 01:00 PM

Even in my 15% female, conservative university, false rape accusations are thrown around like it's no big deal. I have a feeling nobody is safe anymore.

If you're seriously considering officer get out of there. They're looking for a high GPA and physical fitness, not a prestigious diploma. I'm not trying to shit on your dreams here, but being an MRA in this kind of environment is, as everyone above me is saying, seriously dangerous.
/r/MensRights01/09/14 12:08 AM

On one of the previous occasions it was a Muslim barber who does not touch other women. He does however accommodate them by having a female stylist come in from a shop nearby when needed. That's ridiculous! That is a case of freedom of religion. I don't know what the laws are specifically in Canada, but it's his beliefs, not "sexism" that prevent him from styling womens hair. It's not like his beliefs are infringing upon the livelihoods of others, so why did those harpies push the issue?
/r/MensRights31/08/14 10:54 PM

But nope, still more privileged than the PoC's with two doctor parents who have lived in the same sheltered home for 18 years with $400k+ annual income and still not allowed to have opinions. I was born in poverty immediately following the fall of the Soviet Union. Every time someone tells me to check my cis white privilege I have a mini aneurysm.
/r/MensRights31/08/14 09:44 PM

This isn't even a sexist argument. It's the truth. Instill hatred of half the world's population in young women and they're going to die alone.

That's weird then. Your college is only 57% female (normal for a liberal arts college) yet the tumblrinas pretty much have control of the entire campus?
/r/MensRights31/08/14 06:38 PM

I just can't believe that a place like this exists. Pardon me for not contributing any insightful discussion, but your college is a tumblrina's wet dream.

Do people get singled out for being male/white/"privileged", or are y'all just fed this drivel and expected to comply?
/r/MensRights31/08/14 06:09 PM

I'd have to agree. I have short hair so I go to barbers, since regular hairstylists leave me with some trendy layered monstrosity. If she wanted a womens haircut then I would understand his reasoning.

I have groups of friends in which nobody is safe from jokes. Men, women, blacks, whites, Asians, Latinos. It isn't done out of spite (like the "male tears" example). Nobody says anything truly spiteful. It's bros being bros, and nobody offends anyone else. We see each other as people, not skin colors or genders, if that makes sense. So it wouldn't be fair for me to pitch a fit about a kitchen/PMS joke. Everyone is equal in our group.
/r/MensRights18/08/14 06:32 PM

So if I post a racist joke and claim it's satire that means it's all good? Oooookay

I agree with everything but the photoshop part. Who cares? No offense but if looking at a picture of a complete stranger who looks pretty for a living makes you seriously insecure, then that's not "society's" problem, but your own.
/r/TheRedPill15/08/14 09:40 PM

The funny thing is, I only ever get "slut shamed" by other women. But let's continue to blame men.

The difference between a criminal offense and being friendly is often how "creepy" you are perceived to be. Ugh.
/r/MensRights13/08/14 04:54 PM

First of all, every time a SJW says the word "problematic", God kills a kitten. Second, what is considered "street harassment" nowadays is ridiculous. A man saying hello is not harassment. A man staring at you because your dress barely covers your ass is not harassment. Let's just not interact with anyone ever. That should solve all our problems.

Both genders have their strengths and weaknesses. Why is it so hard to accept this fact and stop acting like assholes?
/r/MensRights12/08/14 07:32 PM

I know it's supposed to be a joke an all... But this whole "the woman is always right" thing needs to stop.
/r/MensRights11/08/14 03:46 AM

Probably both. Especially now, the military, with the exception of special operations, isn't even doing any real fighting. So there's plenty of supply & admin jobs there. And it's not like anyone is getting drafted, for fuck's sake.

Unless you cannot grasp the simplest concepts of arithmetic, then that "wage gap" bullshit makes sense when combined with the 70% statistic. Nobody's going to pay a store clerk the same amount of money as an engineer. Is this so difficult to understand?
/r/MensRights07/08/14 09:11 PM

It's not even a risk. It's pretty much a guarantee.

The only benefit to marriage I can think of is sharing health insurance and getting BAH if you're a junior enlisted servicemember. Other than that, you are signing away half your assets and half your paycheck which your wife will most likely receive in divorce court.
/r/MensRights06/08/14 04:45 AM

At least from what I've seen IRL and on the internet, it would be. Womens' bodies are not allowed to be made fun of at all. Even critique and helpful advice is usually met with hostility.

These shelters are not taking in the rapists and abusers that women are getting away from. They are taking in victims that need to get away from the people that hurt them. Male, female, it doesn't matter. These victims need shelter and support. Why not look at it that way? Why make it another gender issue when it's really not?
/r/MensRights05/08/14 12:43 AM

Nah they just swarmed to the men with a bigger paycheck.

I'm joining the army soon and I have many friends, both male and female, who are vets/currently serving. I haven't heard anything about sexual assault/harassment other than your usual creepy, socially awkward guy stories. I have, however, heard countless stories of women sleeping with officers, filing EO complaints, and getting pregnant to get out of deployments. I'm not exaggerating.
/r/MensRights26/07/14 01:17 AM
