Great comment. Particularly this: "Pick a relationship partner that shares a passion for the things you want to do, or pick a parnter that lets you have lots of alone time to spend on your hobbies." My gf and I basically live separate lives outside of sharing a few domestic responsibilities (nice to split the workload with someone), a nice dinner or trip now and then, and occasionally screwing. I literally have no less free time now compared to when I was single, and I'm saving more money than w…

"I don't have to spend money on dates or gifts as a single man. I have more time to do things I want to do etc." I don't spend money on my gf nor do gifts, and I'd wager I spend less time on her than you do on your hookups. The only thing you have as a single dude that I don't is multiple sex partners, but I don't want that anyway as I think it's overrated. I can get laid virtually whenever I want with zero effort and the cost, both in terms of money and time, is nearly nil. I therefore reject t…

Good comment. Definitely an INTP haha.

My current gf is a pretty hard-core femimist and this is exactly what I did when we first started dating. I was just coming off of a MGTOW phase of life and I knew beyond a shadow that if I disclosed my true thoughts about modern dating dynamics too blatantly or too early it'd be game over. 5 years down the line I talk a bit more openly, but still have a very calculated, neutral way of framing things because I know she'll get triggered if I were to be too blunt.

Yeah this is probably true to some extent. There's a war between the sexes brewing and it not a pretty sight. Not sure how it can be stopped at this point though. The more women pull away the more abrasive that cohort of men becomes. It's basically a vicious circle by now. The men and women in the middle still trying to simply be humans are increasingly caught in the crossfire.

"I think it’s very difficult for so many people to follow or believe in something if absolutely everything about it is a lie." Was just thinking the same thing about an hour ago. A lot of it boils down to the Dunning Kruger Effect, most likely. Still, I can't help but find the rampant certitude and the righteous indignation annoyingly tedious, even if most of it can be attributed to lack of mental acuity, and being to dumb to know when you're being baselessly overconfident.

"My ideal relationship is one where we’re best fucking friends who have a blast hanging out with each other. We can talk about anything and everything. We’re laughing often. And we have a lot of great, passionate sex. This is all assuming values and ideals align." This is pure blue pill in my conception. Even if you have red pill awareness, as in your last paragraph, you appear to retain the need to make a woman the center of both your physical as well as your emotional world. This is something …

Agree, except the problem is only partially solved. The double standard is still an issue and needs to be dispensed with at the society level. At the individual level, sure, simply taking some personal responsibility and making sure you're compatible is advisable to an extent. No argument there. Although I do think that many people today have unrealistic expectations, in that they think they need to have a partner who is "compatible" in every conceivable way. My girlfriend has a cleaning obsessi…

Yes of course its applicable to either sex. And yes, it's a problem unless the one doing the most work simply wants to, and makes the choice without being berated or coerced. Example: I'm all for fairness for household tasks that are standard/essential. But some people go overboard and want to clean obsessively, far beyond average standards. I do not share this obsession and am not going to participate in someone else's OCD fetish. If you choose to go the extra mile, good for you, but don't expe…

For the real reason that everyone decides to: utility. Humans need a tribe, especially, as in my case, when it comes to rural self-sufficient living. We used to have full-fledged communities back in the day. Most don't any longer. We've become hopelessly fragmented as a society. In some cases, cohabitation with a partner of the opposite sex is just easier to find/initiate, and a logical place to start in building community. If there's some sexual attraction there, that's fine but in my view that…

Ha, now you're just being shifty. I explained exactly what I meant above, and why it has precisely fuckall to do with "doing shit as a grown up." You're conveniently ignoring the context that I clearly spelled out for you. Classic sophistry, and obviously intentional. If you hold a different view concerning which kinds of qualities are masculine vs. which are feminine, that's perfectly fine, and not surprising. You do you. Be a simp for all I care, if that's what does it for you.

Sorry I don't believe in romantic love and looking at a person's butt adds precisely nothing to my life. I also want to spend time with my friends at the end of the day; that isn't a reason to share my finances with them. You've still provided zero compelling reason why a woman should be treated differently. For many men that difference is the fact that they get sex. That doesn't work for me at all; I can get sex without opening my wallet and at the end of the day, even if I couldn't I wouldn't …

You didn't answer my question. Why should I be interested in subsidizing a woman's life with my hard earned resources? What am I getting in exchange? If free time disparatiy isnt good for the relationship, the solution is simple. Split bills equally, split workload equally. Problem solved. If this isn't an acceptable arrangement then we don't need to be in a "partnership" to begin with.

Lol, no not because "that's not fair!" Histrionics aren't masculine either. A simple matter of fact statement is all that's needed. "Nope, sorry, you don't get any special treatment simply due to the fact you were born with a vagina. If that's what you're looking for you'll have to find it elsewhere." If I have dude roommates, shit gets split equally. I'd love to hear one good reason why I should hold a woman to a different standard. Anyway, I'm a bit confused as to what angle you're taking here…

Everything, if we're talking about a dude who's too whipped to stand up for himself.

If bills are split equally and savings kept separate, then absolutely not. Otherwise, if he's footing the majority of the bill then he's financing someone else's life in return for...what exactly? I don't subsidize the lives of my dude friends. Why should I subsidize a woman's?

Think you missed the context of my point there. What I'm saying has nothing to do with "cant." It's a matter of fairness/balance. If the lady of the house isn't doing anything else to contribute outside the home, or is doing comparatively little, she should be doing much more than half the inside work. In this particular circumstance, a man who allows himself to be berated into going along with a lopsided situation it is getting walked on. Getting walked on isn't masculine. If everything else is…

All else being equal, this is correct. But if you're pulling more weight in other areas - bringing in the bulk of the household income, doing all of the car, yard and home maintenance work, AND you allow yourself to be berated for not doing enough around the house, you're being had. Maybe I wouldn't call it being "feminine," per say, but definitely whipped, and not very masculine imo.

Men of all stripes can be assholes, but only top tier men can be assholes with impunity without losing access to women. That's the only difference. A lower tier dude who barely snags a woman in the first place is often desperate just to hold on to her, so even if he's just as much of an asshole under the surface as Chad is outwardly, he's intelligent enough to know to keep it hidden most of the time, and probably resorts to more passive aggressive behavior when he does make a display of it. That…

I hunt on foot with a cheap recurve bow without relying on blinds or stupid accessory gear, wade fish from the bank with a fly rod I've owned since college, and live off grid in a 200sf cabin that easily holds all my possessions. Tell me more about how shopping for a bunch of unnecessary shiny new toys and relying on motors instead of muscle power makes me more of a man. I say it makes a guy soft, shallow, materialistic, and impulsive. Hardly man-like qualities. Edit: I see now that you're a wom…

"Men cannot make earning money nor profit their principal concern without falling into the deepest degradation, only a family is worth this sacrifice." Wrong. Purchasing a cheap piece of property in the country and building a small cabin on it is the smartest thing a man can do if he's truly interested in freedom. This should be done with cash in order to remain debt free. Off grid, modest and remote is best so property taxes stay low. Having a mortgage or paying criminally high rent prices make…

Hopefully you have a high paying job. Working <20 hours at week at minimum wage is liable to land you on the streets. Unless perhaps you still live off of mom and dad. Neither case equates to true freedom in my view.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
