It didn't mention anything about them being victims of rape or domestic violence. And even if they did have a history of abuse, they have to start somewhere building back trust with men. Women are allowed to work in our sex offender program. They mostly chose not to, but they're given the option. I'm currently working a program for adult men with developmental disabilities and most of my co-workers are female. They are allowed to help the men with showering and other hygiene. There was an opening at another program nearby that's for women. I asked about that opening and was informed that only women can work there due to possibly seeing the female residents nude. There's an opening that's full-time, straight days, total upgrade for me. And I can't even be considered for the position because I'm male. If a woman was told, you can't even bother applying for a promotion because you're female, there would be an uproar.
