I hope that if I am confronted by a similiar attitude when I try to schedule it, I will make that argument. If I do not get the desired response, I have multiple avenues to file a grievance since this is a military hospital. There is a strong possiblity this might happen because military doctors are notorious for denying vasectomy requests.
