"Women" these daysI remind her to take her medication and encourage her to do the healthiest things possible for her. She's doing a hell of a lot better than in the past and I'm proud of her. Personality disorders themselves are super complicated and tricky to diagnose and treat, you're right. I'm just proud she's still here! Thanks for the genuine dialogue regarding this, by the way. I appreciate it. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/01/20 08:37 PM
"Women" these daysLogical doesn't always equally morally sound either. Chill, r/iamverysmart. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/01/20 08:30 PM
"Women" these daysThanks, I'll be sure to tell her that you think she's an incurable burden, that won't make her want to kill herself. Jeez dude, have a little compassion. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/01/20 08:28 PM
"Women" these daysIt also may be helpful to point out that some people self diagnose themselves without any professional medical consultation and use the "I'm so BPD" excuse to justify their shitty actions (which seems more accurate for the girl depicted in the picture, to be honest.) Either way, people don't like to be told they're wrong and will come up with any justification to excuse it away, even people who DO actually suffer from mental illness. It's an unfortunate truth of human nature. You're actually abs… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/01/20 08:19 PM
"Women" these daysIt may be important to consider that she was a disfellowshipped Jehovah's Witness. She was disfellowshipped for her mental illness and lost all contact with everyone she once called family and friends. The majority of people with BPD do have more of a predisposition for promiscuity, but that doesn't mean they themselves are bad people. Again, this is a stigma on mental illness combined with people having a dislike for those who embrace their sexuality. Neither thing makes you less of a person. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/01/20 07:29 PM
"Women" these daysMy best friend actually is diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and she's nothing like this. She does her damn best to keep her mood swings in check and under control because she hates being a burden on people. You don't hate women, you undermine legitimate mental illness. It's a crushing weight that makes you feel less than others. Not normal. And that's a terrible way to feel, male or female. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/01/20 07:16 PM
Becoming "red pilled" is essentially just realizing that women are people.Psychologically speaking, humans tend to view other attractive humans in a positive light. On the flip side, we tend to view unattractive humans in a negative light. This process is called person perception and it has to do with how we view others. This could stem from a number of reasons including social (according to stereotypes and what not) and evolutionary (you see someone as being "like you" - or, part of an ingroup, and another as not being like you - part of an outgroup.) TL; DR: Our bra… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/11/19 05:04 PM
