I think my agreeableness has a hard time saying 15%+ even though that's what one SD would mean. Have a hard time telling people harsh things.

I've had girls be pretty fucking direct and it still went over my head. Fact if the matter is, there's no substitute for learning what's commonly called "social skills." Lacking them gets you filtered, which feels horribly unfair, and (possibly) leads to worse outcomes for women. But ladies are attracted to them nevertheless, so there's just no substitute for them. Telling women to change is not a viable strategy here.

Good pt, ty for reminding me instagram exists. (I'm an old, out of touch dude.)

The ratio of men-women on those services,, tho, so heavily skews towards men. Doesn't that mean like a majority of women aren't on there? (Or try it and quit, I'm not sure.)

That's a good pt, you'd probably expect introverts to be drawn to OLD. (Shit, I wish I could've found those women.) -- makes me wonder what % of sex is linked to OLD though, as opposed to clubs or whatever.

The blue pill is basically our natural ignorance, our disposition before we have knowledge of how things really are. We're inclined to cling to that comforting ignorance rather than embrace hard truths. So there will be an eternal supply of blue-pill people & people "waking up" out of it, and all of them will have the same questions, concerns, and arguments. Thus the repeating nature of this forum. Progression into new areas should be rare, given we're not looking at an ideology here, and we're …

It probably tracks alongside personality traits like extraversion. (I'd expect extroverted broads to meet more men.)

Sweetness & humor. Most women are extremely boring to me, especially the hotter ones.

My wife tells me I'm the most attractive person she's ever seen in real life, and about equally clever. So let's say I'm a 9/10 physically. She's probably around a 6. Some people look at that and see settling. But she's also got charm, humor, & Disney-movie-sweetness that I've never seen in other women. Think OP is mostly right -- the only thing I can add is it wouldn't be totally off-base to say that I settled because I don't have the female luxury of being picky. -- That would be a fairly stup…

You think you know, which is preventing you from knowing, it seems. I'm not here to convince you of anything. I was trying to be helpful. Night.

Women view men in the 75th percentile for physical attractiveness as being below average. Men grade on what's essentially a bell curve with normal distribution. So yes, men who are 5s want to date 10s. But they'd be overjoyed to get with a 7 and marry her. Meanwhile, women who are 3s want nothing to do with a man who's a 6. The 3 thinks she's worth an 8.5 because that's how biology has rigged her brain.

Evidence for how evolution works? I'd say Google "evolution" as a good starting point. Or maybe "evolution + picky women."

Evidence is less valuable than a framework for interpretation. What I've pointed out is actually very basic evolutionary theory, like... not hot button debated stuff. The kind of basic facts that literally anyone familiar with evolution will tell you is true. Very basic information.

Women want the top 20%, but since not all of them can have it, they're forced to settle. Which means the vast majority of women who get married are in relationships where they settled for less than they think they deserve. In other words, bad marriages exist & are plentiful.

You're probably right. My perspective is likely skewed a bit because I married the first woman who looked at me. (16 years.)

My dad smoked cigarettes for 20 years and didn't get cancer. Anecdotes don't disprove statistics.

You could say Tinder users aren't a good example of a general population (for instance maybe they're disproportionately college kids and not working women), but you CANT say "there are more men than women so it's not a good sample." (Making that error actually gives me the suspicion you're biased towards one conclusion or another.)

Another way to look at it is women are spoiled with choice. It's a small feat if I can get 2 women interested in me. Do you think it would be foolish to try and dedicate myself to one of them for meeting minimum standards? Seems like it's only "survival mode" if we assume that my odds of attracting mates will improve by 500% at some point. Otherwise, it would be foolish to not try and settle down with someone who meets those minimum standards. Women have the luxury of being picky.

Women are wired to be picky. If they were attracted to average, that wouldn't be picky, now would it?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/22 06:35 AM

The reason there aren't more quality men is because women are wired to be exceedingly picky. If the quality of men rose by 20%, women's dissatisfaction would likely remain at a static low, unchanged. Has little to do with men. Nature wired women in a way that ensures they're fairly unlikely to find a satisfactory mate... at least not without joining a harem. Women want the uncommon man, not the average one.

Not really. Guess female voices can be nice. My wife fawns over me like a 3/10 male would fawn over a 10/10 girl. Her excessive affections are nice, but thats probably not specific to women.

Many women marry men they don't like.

Asymmetry. Men don't face the specific problem of commitment-phobic partners, but that doesn't mean men don't face their own issues finding adequate partners. Their complaint only makes sense if you assume one gender's issues are much worse than the others.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/22 05:52 AM

If you assume 50% of humans are shitty-undatable, and you assume an even ratio of good-bad options between the genders, then it's impossible that one gender would have a better time with long term dating, since both are facing down the same odds. It's just math.

OPs thesis basically rests on the idea that the majority of men are shit, but the majority of women aren't. Hate to break the bad news, but for every fuckboi-liar who's male, there's an entitled golddigger who's female.

Experience isn't greater than studies. My dad smoked for 20 years and didn't get cancer, I don't use that to conclude that cigs are safe despite the data. You can't destroy something that was broken to begin with :]

Autistic men are almost objectively superior, in my view. They're not burdened with the macho bs, less liable to lie to you and run scams,, they're less prone to violence... but they tend to be hard to get to know, and tend to lack money and status.

Trp isnt an ideology because it doesn't make normative claims about how the world should be, or how you should act. Ideology is the wrong word. Praexology is closer.

True information is never bad. If you need to live in darkness, it's you that's broken, not the world.

My wife doesn't identify as being particularly feminine. Some of that bugs me a little (doesn't keep her hair very long.) If you look at Japanese media, like uhhh... Final Fantasy 10, you can get an idea of what the ideal feminine Japanese woman is supposed to act like. I hate to use the word "submissive" because it's open to misinterpretation, but thats basically the right word. Yuna (game protagonist) is strong willed, but doesn't assert dominance in interactions. She's not someone you can wal…

Ordinary women don't want ordinary men. Thats the only reason it's not a woman's market. Because if there's 100 million women, they all want to get with the same 20 million men.

During the 5-years I was dating, across the (roughly) 20 women I successfully asked out.... never did I ever encounter a red flag or a yellow flag. I wasn't there to criticize them. I was there to try and be friendly, see if we could make a connection. Get acquainted. They all seemed like nice enough folks. The worst criticism I can muster of those women is they tended to be a little boring, or a little dishonest. (Incidentally, it sure didn't work that way in reverse. As an autistic man, 90% of…
