It's a very complex issue. Generally speaking, in most relationships the breadwinner has priority in career growth, which naturally builds on itself. Since divorce seems to be so common later in life when kids are older, it can mean the poorer spouse spent decades not being able to maximize their earning potential compared to the breadwinner. I see it unintentionally happening with my own wife - she has some opportunity for small salary increases or title/job changes, but it would require our fa…

I read your other post. I am not a lawyer, but had a similar experience. You are being threatened but you shouldn't worry too much until she has proof. It's INCREDIBLY early on and generally very difficult to conceive. It could easily be a bad month for her cycle. That said if you used protection and she is accusing you before taking a test it is more than likely manipulation. I have had a partner on more than one occasion claim to be feeling pregnant to 'get me to stay.' Cut contact if you wish…

The title of this post is "Got stopped from entering store because I had a purse." Op did not have a purse. OP lied and made it seem like he was discriminated against because of his gender, yet he wasn't. Why would OP post here otherwise?

The purse is allowed by law in most jurisdictions, it's the reusable shopping bags that are banned. If OP had a messenger bag I could see their point, but he tried to put a wallet into a shopping bag.

Well you didn't prove a point, you made a fool of yourself. Ignorance of the law does not absolve you from it. And now you're on here whining about how your 'insulated food storage tote with a wallet in it' doesn't count as a purse? There are serious issues we need help with, get a grip.

Agree with it or not - most of the covid laws/recommendations ban 're-usable shopping bags' from stores. This includes everything from mesh produce sacks to insulated totes. If you had say a leather messenger bag I can understand, but you yourself are contradicting yourself calling this a 'purse' and then an 'insulated tote.' So which is it? Sounds to me like you got caught trying to skirt the rules and and are gendering an issue for no reason during a global pandemic against a store that's just…

One of the many good things about my wife, I told her I didn't want them circumcised and she said 'okay, up to you' and that was that. The doctors and nurses didn't press hard either, but I was still a paranoid fuck walking around the maternity ward both times, followed those boys for every cleaning/checkup. Seeing the newborn shaped plastic table where they strap them down in the next room was horrifying.

Seriously, just grow that shit out if you want to. This is why I love my wife so much, she doesn't like my beard but says almost nothing when I grow it out (and I grow it long when I do). Then one day I randomly shave it and BOOM she can't stop staring at me, it's pretty funny.

Silly question, you already know why - it's the same reason most dads do, he probably was circumcised himself and didn't know any better. The best way progress happens is through educating people for the future, not shaming them for the past.

Generals make decent money but not a crazy amount for whats essentially a CEO. Roughly 150k/yr at the lowest levels AND get a pension when they retire of a % of their salary. A General with 30 years experience would get almost 100% of their salary after they retire. If he's in his 50s there's a good chance he would have worked 15-20 more years, and salary/pension would increase over that time. 8.4 million and he would barely break even if he had his career continue. But instead he was forced to …

The question you should be asking is 'What would you choose if you had the option.' People who are uncut can always choose, but once you're cut you can't go back. Do I remember it? Of course not - I highly doubt I would have chosen to be cut. I currently have very little sensitivity and it has lead to relationship problems and life-impacting risky behavior. For this reason both of my sons are uncut.

I really think you're on to something here, but it def needs to be fleshed out and have some more scenarios. That said Idk if age should be a factor, especially for people under 40. In this day and age I think both spouses should be working on their careers. If someone takes time off to raise the kids, that's a risk they take. I get that daycare is expensive, but unless you're working for minimum wage you really have to have more than two kids before staying home even makes sense financially.

How short sighted. Why anyone would want to deny someone who can work and wants to work a safe job is beyond me. Women are going to have kids, and if you don't help them stay working then you'll inevitably pay for it either with your tax dollars or your own back trying to make up the lost income.

When I met my wife she was working retail. I've given her a lot of suggestions as far as asking for promotions, negotiating pay, and how to cultivate a relationship with her superiors that promotes a career path. These were all things she literally didn't think to do. Previously she waited until someone offered her a promotion instead of seeking it out, and she took whatever dollar amount they gave her instead of negotiating. For some reason though, men seem to do this automatically but women do…

Same here. I had to fake it a lot of the time because I simply couldn't feel anything with a condom on. It made a lot of my partners either feel bad about themselves because they couldn't get me off, or they'd get sore down there because it'd be like hour-long sessions. It's one of the main reasons I didn't circumcise my son. Now he'll have a choice later on, something I didn't have.

I was really surprised with much of the liberal writing in the few days after the election. There seemed to be a real 'mass humbling' as people realized how blind they were inside their bubbles. Many articles about how feminists failed their cause by essentially ignoring/blaming white men, and how in order to move forward they needed to get everyone on the same team and actually start to give a shit about mens issues. Sadly after just a few weeks, the entire narrative looks to have turned back t…

I think you're missing the point of their argument. The point is that in society a man can have 50 partners and he is considered a stud, but a woman who has 50 is considered a slut. In reality the number shouldn't matter. But really, why do guys even want to know this about their so? Her previous partners are literally the last thing I want to think about.

Pregnancy is REALLY tough, it's basically max hormones for 9+ months straight. If your wife doesn't do well during her period you could expect a year long experience like that. These are things future parents need to discuss and recognize to prevent lashing out and an inability to deal with the very real hormonal changes. Not to mention women who use birth control for hormone regulation or other medication for mental health (bi-polar, anxiety) go off them for the duration of the pregnancy.

That's a real shitty situation, but I can't comprehend how you can marry someone and have zero clue the marriage would be trouble. You should know your spouse 100% before committing. I've met so many stupid people who dated people who mentally, physically, or financially abuse them.... only to act like they had no clue why things didn't get better when they were married. No, you can't tell a woman what to do with her body. Problem is there are a whole host of other issues that need to be addressed and could remove the issue of abortion entirely. Point in case: it's incredibly disappointing that in 2016 men don't have a more reliable contraceptive than the lowly condom. You think there would be a pill or that infamous 'injection' (that seems to be 'coming soon' for the past decade by now), but society seems to be holding it back. Once we allow both men and women …

I'd say most men don't know what it's like to have a girlfriend get pregnant, and deal with the anguish that she has complete control over whether or not you meet your child. The argument that a fetus isn't a child is a cop out, the issue is far more complex. When your SO has a miscarriage at 10 weeks, and you both see little hands and feet in the toilet that early, it changes you. To think that abortions can happen for many weeks (up to 24!) after that point is disturbing to many. I was staunch…

Ideally, yes, but the problem is lots of people figure that acting like an ass or being difficult can't hurt their punishment. They have little reason to be nice, and cops have to try extra hard to stay calm. Police officers are humans, not emotionless robots. If suddenly it becomes widely known that a good attitude during an arrest will result in a reduced sentence, I would expect everyone would benefit.

Props to your date sticking around. I dealt with a crazy ex who would try and sabotage my attempts at future relationships, and it is hell on earth. The thing about crazy is, it's tough to see coming if you've never experienced it. While I think being whistled at is inappropriate and would never do it myself, part of the issue is that there are plenty of people who enjoy it. I remember my friend ecstatic because some construction dudes whistled at her, made her entire week. Regardless, notifying the police first is poor judgement. To my surprise every nurse and doctor I've visited has been knowledgeable about uncircumcised penises. Many have actually thanked me for not having it done. The problem lies with people who watch him unattended, be it daycare/sitter/family/friends. It's all about HIS choice over HIS body. It's not my call to make irreversible non-life threatening decisions, regardless of the pain/memory argument. While being circumcised has had zero impact on my daily life whatsoever, I never had the choice to be or not to be. By leaving it he can always have it removed later in life if he so wishes. But since my choice to be circumcised was made by my parents, I do not have the ability to get my original foreskin back.

My parents circumcised me, but I am not mad at them. They did it because at the time, to them (and all of our area, suburban USA) being uncircumcised wasn't even an option. No career driven person strives to be a stay at home parent, they do it because a marriage is TEAMWORK. A person deciding to be a stay at home body is deciding to take a low paying job. It doesn't matter that they support their SO into being a successful and well paid doctor or lawyer.
