when a young person ends up in therapy they're known as the identified patient. meaning there's very rare cases where you're born disadvantaged. mostly they just get all joy, confidence and individuality crushed out of them by parents that should never have been allowed to breed. lot of sick parents out there, rich and poor. lot of messed up young people.

A man disagreeing with you isn't "toxic".

All you're doing is telling me that you assume the worst possible motive from someone you're criticizing. Must get pretty tiresome.

Since the quote was of another, female, user in this sub, I'm not portraying women in a way to fit a narrative, I'm using an actual woman's idea to help understand women as a whole. Any other negative connotations are being brought up purely by you.

I agree it is a very common idea. I won't speak for others, for me yes there needs to be more than just looks, but all you're really highlighting is the same situation in reverse. He only wants to fuck me because I'm hot. She only wants to fuck me because I'm "somebody". edit because I forgot - You could even argue your physicality is a more honest appraisal of "you" than status, you'd have to say that an idea about you is more important, is more "you", than your own fucking body. It's absurd. Y…

The determining factor between two guys of the same looks and personality would be status. I've been blown off because I was "low" status and then approached later by the same girl because of some social proof in the night. Same person, but status seals the deal.

It's not meant to cover every single person, it's a useful idea for understanding women. Someone else replied with a similar thing, obviously most people would like to be seen from the inside out.

Status is more important than personality. What you have done in the past or other people's preconceptions about you are more important than "you". An entirely mental structure created by other people dictates more of a mans worth to women than something that is "him", or his own. Atlas said something I'll always remember; women don't care about the man, they only care about what other women think about the man.

Sorry I never replied, it was meant in jest since half the issues in this place get pissed on because they apparently don't affect anyone :P hence "UMC life"

I don't get it man. The entirety of red pill is stolen from women. It's literally pretend to be more than you are. Fuck you get that drilled into you as soon as you hit puberty as a guy and you start chasing girls. You're asking what would happen if a girl acted like a guy acting like a girl.

unless it is illegal to abort where you live, the woman decides if the child comes into the world. women and men have fought for the right to choose to abort, stop shitting on it by trying to kick the can down the road.

If you rescind your agreement to abort an unplanned pregnancy then you are responsible for the childs quality of life, there's no way you can rationalize it to be anyone elses fault but your own.

If he lies about commitment, yeah, there's no way I can think of to justify it. As in, you ask him and he verbally confirms. If it's ambiguous, as in you don't talk about it or avoid it, well that's normal and even advisable if your goal is to sleep with many women. I regret 90% of my casual sexual encounters because they all in a sense involved lying. Women pretending that it was no big deal in order to, in my estimation, get in a relationship and me lying to myself saying that it was purely su…

well then the entire basis of your relationship was based on an immoral decision of convenience or selfishness. anything other than "i want(or even better need) that person to be a part of my future" is immoral, even if their reasons were immoral. can't kick the can down the road forever.

To be completely transparent, I am not a "red piller", I know some of what they are likely to say because before red pill there was pickup, I read The Game by Neil Strauss and some other works like it so even though I don't read the sub I know roughly what they're going to say. You are correct - no one is forcing anyone to do anything. But it's extremely disingenuous to say that women do not dictate how men act. Ask yourself, if sharing how insecure and unconfident you were was the most likely w…

You go from saying red flair users are actually the ones making men stifle their emotions and then saying that they're not representative of most men. ?? be consistent. I and everyone saying that women dictate how much emotion a man may express learned it the hard way. If you keep souring potential relations with women, you're going to find what it is and stop doing it. Namely, expressing too much negative emotion. I don't need a goon with a pickup PhD to tell me that.

Half the replies in this thread could have been cleared up if you'd specified that. Because the word begins the thread title, there's no way to know if you meant the general definition or the philosophical stance. People that disagree are doing so because the philosophical take on stoicism is about as far from toxic masculinity as you could find a persons behaviour.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
