2	Young women receive more pay, degrees, and scholarships than men. What is society doing to correct this inequality? When those women who are in their 20s now reach 30, they will be carrying their superior pay with them, and then again into their 40s, 50s, etc, slowly overtaking men across the board as the generation moves through time. The social security and familiarity of marriage (or beta bucks if you want RP's slant) and the stigma or embarrassment of the entire divorce ordeal (friends and family learning the backstory etc) can mean that despite the lack of sexual attraction and excitement, it's the path of least resistance and they (male or female) more or less delay/deny the inevitable. I do believe that Dread and the anxiety of one's partner leaving them for another person can largely dissipate after a marriage due to the legal/social bondage of the act itself.
