So many of my friends have done this. Terrifies me.

Yes! Like my not doing something to my armpits was a deviously crafted political statement AT some guy.

I really love that this option is available to so many more women now.

Absolutely disgusting.

There’s a woman who is a client at my work place who comes in 3 days a week for private Pilates lessons. She’s 80, smart as a whip, never married and child free. Always has a perfect hair do, an elegant outfit, and blue eyeshadow. She loves her daily afternoon wine and cheese, and reading a novel. She is the most at ease and self realized person I ever met!

I don’t think it would occur to many of us to ask for this arrangement without the socialized lack of self esteem we were raised with.

I also recommend “man size” by her!

The fact that you got banned from any sub for saying that wholesome advice actually gives me a shudder.

Oh god don’t do it, it is hell. No one is more self centred than the tortured artist, or better at twisting everything to be about them!

Yeah, I feel the same way as you.

When I was with my abusive ex I developed cystic acne that took a few years to clear up!

The way women deny and suppress their feelings. It’s breaking my heart. If she wasn’t socialized to be polite and good she would have the primal instinct to express her anger at him and to stay away from him. Instead she’s having his baby and asking for help to stop feeling her feelings on Reddit.

I removed 95% of my male Instagram followers too.

Sounds like we’re about the same age - I relate to everything you wrote very deeply! I have a hard time planning for the future too because it’s either going to be trash, or, we will find collective solutions that make life more livable for everyone. hustling a retirement fund feels futile.

The HOTTEST guy I ever dated - this man is like young Paul Newman levels of hot, and actually to really good care of his body in terms of diet, exercise, and hygiene - lived in an absolutely horrible filthy house with an old mattress on the floor. Like HOW?!

Me too. Caught myself doing it today and immediately put my mind back on the project I was working on. What an insidious thought virus that drains our energy!

Damn they really don’t believe women are people.

Right? So many gay men have grabbed my body without consent - being gay don’t mean you see women as people.

Ha! I’ve literally never had a man help me in a threatening situation in public, it’s always been a woman.

Thanks for putting me back in my place, in the future I’ll be sure to defer to you for understanding of my own experience.

Yeah they are pretty rare I think. Definitely my tip would be to learn to meditate.

Sincerely calm energy in a man is one of the most attractive things to me. I fell hard for my boyfriend when I met him because he emanates this calm steady energy - I literally felt my whole body relax in his presence. Compared to other men with nervous or forced energy around whom felt a bit uneasy, that felt amazing!

I agree with you - my partner is a quiet, calm, confident guy. He’s never making some fake effort to be “high energy” in a phoney way. His “high energy” is his full presence, his intelligence, perceptivity, sensitivity, humour. I never would have fallen for him if he’d been acting contrary to his nature. He simply had worked in being the best version of himself and when I met him that self was compatible with mine.

Same, women seem to notice my beauty more than men. Mostly I think that because I’m tall and dark haired and “dramatic” looking, men don’t register me as approachable (which is fine!)

I’m a woman eavesdropping on this thread and i just want to point out that this Is facts. A strong (but not excessive, sure) text game is foreplay.

But we can’t date/have sex with quality men of our choosing any time we want. That’s more rare, and that’s what most women are wanting. Porn is porn for women. Attention from men I’m not attracted to is boring and tedious.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
