Problem 1 - marriage. Problem 2 - kids. Absent the first two (with emphasis on #2), no problem. Sorry, mate. Lawyer time. Good luck!

yes on the depression thing, for sure, but women chase you down. i was one hot property. not only that, but the entirety of my posse started setting me up. constant dinners and introductions, etc. i wasn't in a good place to take advantage of all that, mentally, but it was like having 25 wing women.

former widower here... a single man, separated or divorced? to a woman, red flag, or at least suspicious. a single man, widowed? 100% legitimate exit from marriage. can be baggage free. extremely attractive. advice? stay single.

Not a good trade. Wedding cake often cures nymphomania, you know.

Nope. That is not the purpose. It may be the effect, but the people involved have good intentions. Biased and misdirected? Perhaps. Evil? No.

Analogies illustrate by taking the specifics away and exposing generalities and structure. None are perfect. Marriage (or hard commitment non-marriage relationships) is distinguished from the pre-marriage state by commitment. Sure, it's what people want, both male and female, but have you ever considered how things might be different if mates didn't commit, but continued on in that pre-commitment phase.... where both sides work to sell their desirability? What if that went on forever? Isn't that…

One way to look at it. Succinct, anyway. I agree, commitment and passion have an inverse relationship. Uncertainty, risk and lust? Direct correlation. Nothing wrong with commitment, but to preserve passion it has to be contingent, which is not really commitment. If all parties wink-wink/nod-nod and game the system, the body and mind can work to preserve a relationship. As ever, the question is not absolute (as in frequency) but in match up... what works for both parties. It's not an accident tha…

Looks like you successfully recruited your mom's doppleganger and married her. You have three issues to address. The two of them and your personal shortcomings. Step 1 - no lies. Mom is an asshole, own it. Stop her from ruining your relationship. Objectionable behavior on her part will stop once you decide to become an adult. Childhood is over. Step 2 - do not accept childish behavior from your wife. Or anyone other than a child. Pretty easy. Act with your wife like you acted with your mom (step…

Right now, California is parched and Texas is flooded. Something is just wrong about that. I feel that way about you... such a shame to see such promising energy wasted. Hurts my heart. Can you not do better? Re-engineering a man is a hard thing to do, and this seems rather fundamental.

I think it's simpler.... commitment and passion are competing motivations. (Can you want what you have? ) The drive to commit is passion (unrelenting desire to own.) Passion's PURPOSE is to create commitment. Once committed, passion is no longer necessary, as when one exits the train at one's desired stop. You've arrived. The passionate partner is deprived of what they crave... just enough to maximize craving but not enough to torpedo commitment. The commitment partner releases just enough passi…

Let's say you move the date of your marriage up to tomorrow. Do you expect anything to change by the weekend? How about maybe.... next weekend? Or next month? Do you really? Be honest. What you see is what you get, bud. You need the internet to tell you this? Is this how you describe 'happy' or 'compatible'? Do you want to be happy? Do you want to marry someone compatible? Is this a preview of your upcoming problem solving strategies either alone or with this woman? Might be you are in trouble i…

a friend of mine (guy) once said... looking around to make sure no one was listening!.... "I run seldom, but even when I run with women who run all the time, I am a better runner than 95% of them." Now that is not always true, and a lot of women are great runners, but it's a man that usually finishes first in the marathons. That's not sexism, it's just an observation, of course. What's sexist, I think, is saying women SHOULDN'T run, or should cede something that they CAN or WANT to do just becau…

OK, thanks for taking the time to explain. I think most folks understand that there are differences... not just the obvious features, biochemical, DNA, and cultural differences. A number of authors have discussed male/female relations as cross cultural. Feminism in its best form seems to be that women (or any minority), different or not, should have the same opportunities to succeed or fail at whatever they want to. Somehow, this simple thing gets overlooked by 'feminists' who insist on changing…

No offense, amigo. I really had a hard time following what you were asking. Feel free to shoot me a message, and I would happily donate a few hours of friendly chat. I can be a creep some times, but my heart is usually in the right place and I am possessed of a lot of experience, some successful and some not. For what it's worth... I'm not rabid redpill, but I do think that there is a lot of value for both parties if they JOIN in gaming the system, which has its own evolutionary reasons for its …

Friend.... that's not redpill, IMO. That's entirely just being an adult. A really good, perceptive, activated adult. Self-actualization. Vision, supported by self-knowledge, and a world manifested through personal effort, risk, and persistence. I detect less manipulation than personal empowerment. It's what is missing from most lives. The challenge (to me, anyway) is always screening one's acts to avoid hurting other people unnecessarily. Ethical behavior demands that we consider our effect on t…
