Mark Manson put this beautifully in Models when talking about polarization. Girls go into 3 categories: unreceptive, neutral and receptive. Explained, the neutral are.... neutral. Unreceptive you cant seduce (they're gay, only attracted to black/hispanic/caucasian etc), and receptive are DTF. Most girls you meet will be neuteral. With good game you turn them receptive. Mental problems I wouldn't call low confidence a mental problem, its more like a bad state of mind. I never had an issues as bad as you describe.. But whatever fear I had of hot girls was removed with always having the mindset of "its just another person like me". As of right now I have a FWB (just one). Mostly I have one night stands or hook up a couple of times with girls I met through Tinder.
