You forgot the extra 10 years of befriending an obese feminist covered in piercings and tattoos and waiting til she's done with all the alpha dongs. Then you can get sloppy seconds and become her walking ATM and manslave until she feeds you red gravy, falsely accuses you of rape, divorces you, and cryogenically freezes your sperm to get pregnant every 18 years and receive child support for life. Unless she wants more alpha dong, then you have to all start over. BPing aint easy :(

I've been in a whole lot of locker rooms in my lifetime and TRP goes way beyond what normal "locker room talk" is in my experience. There's nowhere near the levels of anger and hostility to women, even among groups of 15-18 year old meat-head football players. Locker room talk is more "Yeah I'd fuck her she's hot" than "All women are whores"

That's weak and defeatist. The right attitude is "you know what? some people get laid, some don't. if you don't, man the fuck up, fix your shit and go bang some tight pussy" That's pretty much how I interpreted OP. Guess we just had a different takeaway from it. I've known a few guys who became really insecure, desperate, and bitter and complained all the time because they didn't have a girlfriend, while actively trying to find a girlfriend. That's about as unattractive as someone can get and wo…

Such a beta defeatist attitude How is making peace with yourself a bad thing? It doesn't mean giving up or stopping improving yourself, just accepting the things about yourself that you can't change. A guy who's short or has a small dick isn't gonna have any realistic way to change that aspect of himself, so instead of dwelling on how much it sucks and losing confidence he should focus on being better in other things that will make him more attractive.

You're right, mods should be able to ban anyone they please, but the way TRP does it makes them a circlejerk pretty much equivalent to SRS.

My girlfriend has a high sex drive and we're both good at pleasing each other. If you're good in bed than sex isn't a chore or a favor to women, believe it or not. Also the idea of having sex with a woman who views it as a chore or a transaction is a huge turnoff.

No, only some guys get to party at college, every guy wants to party in college. NAMALT! I've been to college parties and I don't like it at all. Too loud and everyone's drunk and stupid and competing with each other to be the center of attention. I'd much rather hang out with a few friends and fuck someone I have a connection with as cheesy as that sounds

That's the thing. SJWs are indoctrinated into a worldview of cultural marxism, which has been described as social communism, so your comparison is more apt than you may realize. Indoctrinated by who? And I agree with cultural marxism, or at least treating all demographics of people equally if that's what you mean. I can't help but notice your tag. Do you identify as an SJW? SJW's are reddit's boogeyman right now. People accuse each other of being SJW's kind of like Americans would accuse people of being communists during the cold war. I guess the definition as it's used on reddit is a radical feminist who hates men and supports the wacky shit you'd see on /r/tumblrinaction (headmates, transethnic otherkin, die cis scum, etc.) For some reason a lot of people seem to think they control the world and/or gaming industry through all sorts of evil conspiracies and brainw…

/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/14 02:49 AM

What does that even mean? You don't believe that I'm a man who's attracted to women? Fair enough, it's a personal anecdote. Basically I just want someone to explain to me how men are shamed for being attracted to women because I have never personally experienced it or seen it happen.

Feminists sex-shame you simply for being male and being attracted to women. You haven't even acted and already they're saying that "men" need to be "taught not to rape". Really? I'm a man who's attracted to women and not once have I ever got the impression that anyone is shaming me for it. How has this affected you, or any of the men you know?

Your list seems pretty accurate. A mix of some of the stuff RP advocates (1, 2, 5, 8) and some of the stuff it advises against and labels as "beta" (3, 4, 7) I think people are generally terrible at giving other people advice on how to be attractive. I've seen people say that women deliberately mislead men by saying things like "just be yourself", like it's some kind of conspiracy. That seems flat out ridiculous, it's much more likely that they don't know anything about you and are providing gen…

I'm waiting on a shred of counter-evidence or expert source from your claim that promiscuity is harmless. I never said it was harmless. My argument is that it's a personal choice and it's not anyone else's business to actively condemn it. And that strawman about being "forced to date" is nauseating, and done to death. Every week at least twice without fail. please go back to TBP with it. So what reason is there for someone to care about others' choices to sleep around? If you have the choice to …

Definitely proven. Some guy's blog and a few sites with an obvious conservative bias don't prove that casual sex causes inability to bond with future partners. Even if it did, nobody's forcing you to date women with high partner counts. Because marital contracts are stupid. And most women don't deserve them. Not because LTRs are not worth it. That's what I meant. TRPers don't believe in marriage but the guy I replied to seems to imply that we need more incentives for people tp get married.

emotional trauma What exactly do you mean? inability to bond with future partners Okay, this is plausible but definitely not proven, maybe it is something to be aware of but it definitely doesn't justify condemning promiscuity. damage to social fabric (i.e. decreased incentives for marriage when sluttiness is practiced en masse) Why should we need more incentives to get married? In an online discussion, nobody has anything to lose if they believe the victim and she happens to be lying. It's not a legal issue, just somebody sharing their experience online. You can be supportive and offer kind words or advice, or you could just ignore it. However, it's not the time nor the place to accuse her of lying, or say she brought it on herself, or ask if it was really rape, etc. Questioning the vicim online (not in a courtroom where both sides should be questioned) is basically sa…

Maybe instead of blaming women for not sleeping with nice guys, we can hold the men who turn to hate because they can't get laid responsible? If you're an unattractive male, there's a really good chance you can do something about it whether it's dressing differently, acting with more confidence, practicing better hygiene, getting in shape, or even just meeting different people. Hating women isn't going to make you more attractive. It's not like women are conspiring to keep nice guys down, it jus…

Why is all that stuff necessary to maintain your sexual strategy though? Really, all there is to preventing betaness/oneitis is showing "alpha" traits and knowing there's a lot of women out there that you can pursue. I really don't get how those quotes help with sexual strategy at all, other than dehumanizing women which admittedly could make approaching them easier.

I read that post and I'm honestly kind of confused. A lot of the other stuff I've read on TRP suggests that women have it too easy, that they can rely on men for money and everything else they need, get instant validation from beta orbiters, don't get punished as harshly for crimes, can sleep with as many guys as they want with no consequences, etc. These are all mainly attributed to feminism. But modern forces, feminism included, have robbed women of some of the basic joys of life traditionally…

It's my best understanding that TRP believes that: Men are valued for their accomplishments, wealth, and social status while women are valued for their beauty. Adherence to traditional gender roles benefits society at large, while deviation from these roles (LGBT people, single mothers, women with many partners, men with feminine interests and vice versa) is harmful. Sexual strategy is immoral, meaning that men should take any steps necessary to find the best possible partner for them. Men are a…

TBPers, and liberals in general, feel the need to make people conform. It scares the daylights out of them when people don't conform. They not only want to win the debate--which is fine and admirable of them--but they want us to leave TRP and join them in their crusade against TRP. Of course, I'm going to get downvoted for this comment, and many BPers are going to comment about how I'm wrong, but all my time on this sub has proven to me that RPers actually care about debate to find the best poss…

Should women be obligated to sleep with boring nice guys then? By that logic we should blame men who sleep with a dumb/lazy/criminal/etc. attractive woman instead of a homely girl with a good personality.

Of course we're bombarded with feminist propoganda. The feminists have won. Modern society is so terrified of upsetting women in any way, we cow tow to just about everything. I'm not sure what you mean by this, can you elaborate? Plenty of guys I know regularly make sexist remarks and nobody bats an eye. It has definitely become much less socially acceptable to be sexist or speak negatively about women as a whole, but other than that I don't see how society is terrified of upsetting women. Well,…

It's possible to be a responsible adult without being a boring milquetoast "Nice Guy". Even if that wasn't the case, can you really blame women for preferring to sleep with an attractive and exciting loser/criminal over someone whose main redeeming quality is 'not a drain on society'?

Sweeping generalizations: Women are selfish, have no honor, are hypergamous, can only love how a man makes her feel, not the man himself, ride the cock carousel, etc. Some women are like that, judging by the women I know in real life most of them aren't. However a lot of TRPers act as if women who are good people are incredibly rare, if not nonexistent. This seems like more of a racial/immigration issue than a gender issue. It's hard to talk about for sure, and there are lots of things to consider. It's never as simple as "Muslims = bad", and while traditional Islamic culture is very oppressive to women, there very well could be other factors contributing to the disproportionate amount of crime committed by Muslim immigrants. The large amount of anecdotal evidence from TRP doesn't prove that you need TRP to have a happy relationship, because TRP attracts men who are already angry at women and the TRPers who do have happy relationships are outnumbered by lonely sexually frustrated dudes. People who are in happy relationships to begin with are also less likely to post about it online than someone who's frustrated that they aren't in one.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/14 05:35 PM

Most people who are satisfied with their relationships aren't going to be inclined to seek out TRP in the first place. There also seems to be a hell of a lot more angry, hateful, sexually frustrated men on TRP than men in happy relationships.

The only reason it strikes you in RP, is because you don't like what we're saying and you're under the impression it'll sound better if I used more words to apologize in every sentence. No... No matter how you say it I'm still gonna disagree with most of what TRP says. You can sugarcoat the idea that women are incapable of change and apologize all you want but I'm still gonna think it's a pretty stupid assumption to make.

But that's not the point, the point is, is that mug good looking? That's the question being asked. That's not all that matters in attraction though. What if an attractive guy is also an asshole and a basement dweller? What if an ugly guy happened to have a good career and be exciting to be around? I don't see why women rating average men as unattracive based on a single photo from a dating site is something to be angry about.

I've heard everything from "women are generally attracted to men with status" to "women are only attracted to men with higher status than them" to "women are constantly looking for a higher value man to dump their partner for at all times". I thought TRP was about making the most of the current dating situation for men, not whining about women. You're angry that women on OKCupid don't find these men attractive based on a single photo. There's much more to attraction than a glance at the online dating profile of someone you've never met. Even if 4 men being rated as unattractive on a dating site was proof that average guys don't have a chance, why not do something about it and improve yourself instead of complaining on the internet?

I think #WomenAgainstFeminism, as just an example, have a lot of good points that women are doing themselves a legitimate disservice by not honestly answering at all While feminism has accomplished quite a bit already, many women would argue there's still a long way to go for true equ…

I've seen plenty of it from both genders, though it does seem like the women who do it generally make a bigger deal about it than men.

Yes, and I doubt anyone is going to argue that it isn't okay. For some guys that's a deal breaker, and it's perfectly okay and normal to have dealbreakers. I know I wouldn't be comfortable in a serious relationship with a woman who has slept with that many guys. It would be better off for both parties if the man found someone else assuming it's an issue to him. Where I do take issue with TRP is when people make the assumption that a woman with many sexual partners = a bad person. If a woman want…

I haven't seen a single person defending her. Even if you ignore all the neo-nazis in that thread calling her "mudshark" and "race traitor", everyone else is calling her a washed up whore and a golddigger.

That's not an actual example of anything, it's a hypothetical scenario that you pulled out of your ass. I also don't see anyone applauding her for being "sex positive" or "exploring her sexuality", in fact pretty much everyone is ripping her to shreds in the comment section. There is a huge double standard today in all facets of western society. Women can say the most despicable things and it's written off as "cute and humorous", but when men say something similar, he's lambasted for it. Do you …

I agree with what you're saying, but the only examples I've ever seen are commercials and sitcoms. Men being portrayed as bumbling idiots in some forms of media isn't fair nor correct, but overall it's not nearly as big of a deal compared to other issues facing men today. Bill Maher does bring up some good points, but he's also exaggerating certain things for the sake of comedy because he's a stand up comedian. What are some other examples you know of?

And more and more men are seeing these truths applied IRL, and they know we're on to something. This is why they won't just "leave us alone". We share knowledge that will remove women's advantages in the sexual marketplace, and they don't like it. There's much more to it than that. It's not like women collectively thought "oh shit, they're on to us!" and decided to speak out against TRP. There are a wide variety of people who disagree with TRP, and it's unfair to assume that the only criticism c…

Because some of the crazy shit people say on TRP is hilarious. I come here to debate because the TRPers on this sub are generally much more reasonable than the average poster at /r/theredpill. TBP is mostly for laughing at the craziest ones. Some people over at /r/thebluepill are trying to take a stand against TRP, but the majority are subscribed for the same reason people subscribe to /r/circlebroke, /r/conspiratard, /r/thathappened, etc.

I'm not trying to make a real argument against the philosophy, just answering OP's question. My anecdote answers the question. It's not lobbying against TRP or petitioning to have it banned. As I stated before, I am fully aware that TRP doesn't care what people do with its content, nor do I think it needs to.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/14 08:55 PM

I AM NOT TRYING TO CONCLUSIVELY PROVE TRP IS BAD. I AM ANSWERING OP'S QUESTION BY EXPLAINING A NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD WITH SOMEONE WHO SUBSCRIBES TO TRP. How many people do I have to explain this to? Of course one personal anecdote doesn't prove anything, it's what OP is asking for.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/14 08:48 PM

Yeah. I guess that part could fit into RP philosophy. It could be for a variety of reasons though so there's no telling for sure.

How is that statement not true? It doesn't make a valid case against knife ownership, but it doesn't change the fact that someone got stabbed either. I didn't say my friend hated women, I said some TRPers hate women. He has talked to me and a couple other male friends about TRP and tried to convince us to read its material.

His girlfriend is nice, attractive, and pretty traditional to begin with. The girls he cheated on her with were attractive and were all in the redneck crowd when they were in high school. They were also the type of women who would willingly cheat with someone, so not really relationship material no matter what color pill you are.

Better than he was before. He's making more money than anyone else his age I know and having sex with more women than before. He's absolutely miserable though. The few times I've talked to him since his change he's talked about how much he hates life and how all he does is work and sleep. As far as material wealth and women go, he's doing great. He doesn't have any friends left and his family has all but given up on him though.

He interpreted TRP values in a very harmful way, even if it wasn't the intended message. You're making up an idealized version of what a red piller should be. Some are stotic and in control of their emotions, while others are full of rage and vent their hatred for women as a whole.

He would go on these sexist rants about how all women are stupid, golddiggers, inferior to men, and when I called him out on it he told me to "educate myself" and gave me a link to TRP.

You share the story as if it is a fact, and because of your clear bias against RP concepts your opinion lacks credibility. It's not an opinion, it actually happened. You can't just dismiss everything that doesn't fit into your philosophy as a lie. We probably have different definitions for beating, small, and disagreements so I'm betting it isn't anywhere near as serious as you portray. Correlation does not imply causation. Your friend could have been dealing with hurt, anger, etc. for a long time and there is no way to prove his education in RP concepts was the catalyst for his supposedly violent behavior. Even if it was, he didn't educate himself properly in the first place. What would you consider a proper TRP "education" then? The fact that his behavior changed at the exact time he started talking about TRP makes it very probable that it impacted his personality. I disagree…

Implies that it should, because your moral superiority deems it so. The problem isn't TRP, the problem is your friend. Regardless, it can't be confirmed either way because I'm sure he has a different opinion and we only have your sob story to work with. No it doesn't. The amoral nature of TRP means it doesn't care how people use it Okay? That's pretty much common knowledge. Did I imply that TRP does care? Actions have consequences, and I'm assuming he has ostracized himself from your social circle which may be a blessing in disguise for all of you. At least he did something about his situation, regardless of how it is perceived by others. Either you've never read anything about The Red Pill, or are deliberately ignoring integral parts of Red Pill philosophy. Cheating is not Red Pill. Abuse is not Red Pill. Driving away friends by being an asshole is not Red Pill. Treating people like shit is not Red Pill. From what I've seen on TRP, that simply isn't true. All that jazz about "spinning plates", "dread game", "domestic discipline", posts encouraging people to avoid their "beta" friends suggest otherwise. Maybe they aren't the core…

Yes. I've witnessed it firsthand in my former best friend. He was already doing well in life, had a job, girlfriend, good looks, intelligence, not really the type of guy you'd expect to seek out TRP. Until he suddenly and abruptly did a complete 180 on his personality. He started treating everyone like shit, drove away all his friends, started cheating on and physically abusing his girlfriend (who was sweet and loyal enough to do everything she could to help him long after everyone else gave up)…

I'm not saying "you might not be happy after you start getting laid", I'm saying that empathy is important for being a well-adjusted person that people want to be around. Ideally, sex should make everyone involved happy, but getting laid isn't the end-all-be-all of happiness.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/14 01:54 AM

The people I've met who are attractive, smart, good with women, charismatic, but with no empathy are unhappy, fucked up people in my experience. They might have all the material goods and social status they want, but they don't have any friends, think the world is out to get them, and can't form meaningful relationships with other people because they see everyone else as a tool to get something they want as opposed to a human being. A former very close friend of mine was like that. We were great…

As a blue piller, I think Joe should be forced by the government to date the curvy real woman so she isn't forced to find work. He should also be required to pay preemptive child support as well as alimony, even if they don't have kids because finding a job as a real woman with curves would be difficult due to jealousy and discrimination from twiggy skeletons. Thanks for your input. While I agree with some of what you've said, many of the problems you listed in your first paragraph seem pretty gender-neutral, like poor lunch choices, overeating, lack of exercise, and high school not preparing kids for the real world, and point more to problems with the education system itself rather than discrimination against boys.
