| 4 | Circumcision campaign in Africa: researchers calling to target more adolescentsI don't know if I'd call this the "anti-male" crowd as much as the "pro-circumcision" crowd. It's likely that many of the promoters of this campaign are men who believe circumcision is some kind of gift rather than a human rights violation. | /r/MensRights | 21/06/14 04:37 PM |
| 3 | Circumcision Disasters - This is what happens when circumcision goes wrong. Male Genital Mutilation MUST stop!I think medical technology will come along at one point to fully "restore" a penis to pre-circumcision eventually so the option should still be there for parents. You've gotta be kidding me. An invention for undoing the effects of circumcision is an argument FOR involuntary child circumcision? The invention already exists: it's called not cutting up a healthy child's penis. | /r/MensRights | 20/06/14 12:34 AM |

Doctors should know better than to treat the male foreskin as something extraneous or pathological, but unfortunately the responsibility of education remains on the shoulders of grassroots activists. Hopefully things will change in the coming years. | /r/MensRights | 12/06/14 06:43 AM |

But as always, they have to throw in: "...which has very little in common with male circumcision".Arm yourself with the knowledge that most of the things people say about FGM are either distorted half truths or outright falsehoods: http://www.taskforcefgm.de/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/hast81.pdf This document was written by a task force mostly made up of women, who studied FGM and wanted to correct some common myths. Some of the conclusions they reached: many FGM survivors still lead sexually satisfying lives, FGM is not necessarily tied to patriarchy or misogyny, claims about complications … | /r/MensRights | 02/06/14 01:54 AM |
