16	new to Reddit, and there needs to be more feminist subs, so what happens? I feel like, as mixed as it has been, it's almost a blessing that FDS has gotten some press in the outside world. It raises the profile and it would raise a lot more questions if this sub was axed. I think most of the other feminist/female run subs were too niche or controversial. Men aren't interested in women having a voice unless it raises the kind of controversy they like. We're still talking about them here. 138	Men continue to stay in power because the average woman does not understand how they truly think. I grew up reading classic novels, and I was just thinking the other day about all romantic ideal men there are in fiction written by women: Mr. Darcy, Mr. Rochester, Will Ladislaw, Jamie Fraser. All the heroes in millions of romance novels. Men like this don't exist in reality and never will. We made them up. Men aren't trying to be like these guys.
