I prefer a person that says "most guys/girls I've met are amazing" over "most guys/girls I've met are assholes". I guess both those statements are, if we go by pedantic semantics, sexist. However, the former statement seems a lot less judgmental and harmful than the latter. So yes, I would say that it makes a difference.

I really don't know any other evidence to point your way. Competitive gaming scenes are mainly dominated by males. You can attribute that to a higher number of males playing the games, or because they might be better at them at an elite level than females. Actually, you're right. I was under the impression that transsexual was a blanket term for both those who are anatomically one gender but identify as another, and for those that had undergone gender reassignment therapy, whereas a transman or transwoman was simply a person that identified as another gender than what their own anatomy dictated.

This isn't a move towards equality. This is enforcing people to not feel comfortable or warranted in expressing the fact that they are indeed a male or female. However, because both Mr and Ms titles are prohibited on this campus, I feel that it violates the rights of men and women equally.

Yeah, it's definitely not supposed to be that. Even '1 in 3 women that die die from heart disease' is still pretty absurd. Does this mean a trans-woman would qualify for the team? If the method of gender identification wouldn't fly in the Olympics, I don't see why it should apply here. Men and women are definitely very different physiologically, which is why they're separated in most formal sporting events. Just because you identify as a different gender, you don't turn those physical characteristics off.
