I’m from the uk too and I agree - to not offer is insane and so awkward. Most of the time (in my experience the man does pay) but the woman will always offer to pay her share.

That’s been my experience too. The men who don’t offer to pay have always been the hook up types who don’t want a real relationship and the ones who insisted on paying his been more serious and respectful overall (and never in my life have I been pressured to sleep with a man because he paid-the one’s who did that tended to not want to waste £20 on me so the dates were 50/50). I now see it as a yellow (or is it orange) flag if a man doesn’t offer to pay on the first date. I’ve learnt what that m…

Exactly. At least a dog gets some water on the walk we get nothing if we go on “walk dates”!
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/23 05:39 PM

I’ve never heard of them tbf. I’ve been on plenty of coffee dates but if a man were to suggest we walk around a park without going for drinks or lunch just aimlessly walking around I’d laugh. Even if I took myself on a walk I’d stop to get a smoothie or a bite to eat. Damn it’s sad.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/23 05:28 PM

I agree. If they offer to take you out and chose the restaurant then they should at least offer. If I were to ask out a man I’d try to pay.

I’m from the UK. That’s not completely true. If you are young (teenagers of students) then just grabbing a coffee or drinks is normal. But for serious dating going to restaurants is pretty normal (and yes the men also offer or insist on paying). I’d say it’s been 50/50 for coffee and dinner dates for me personally. Now I’m older I definitely wouldn’t do coffee but playing pool with some cocktails or something similar would be fine if we didn’t know each other.

This is true. I can’t feel attracted to a man who doesn’t have the confidence to flirt/ask me out. It’s part of the fun, the push - pull, flirting, being pursued. Not all women want that but the vast majority do.

Don’t tell anyone. What do you have to gain by telling a gf that? Sure on Reddit all the girls will say they don’t mind and it’s no big deal and maybe if you live in Portland it isn’t. But personally it would put me off. Maybe even break up as I wouldn’t be sure if you are truly straight or not and that’s what most women would think. Is it homophobic to get the ick imagining your boyfriend having gay sex with another man? Maybe. But it is what it is and keep that to yourself if you want to keep …

Attention from men and the quality of men has literally stayed the same from 21-31. No difference at all which is why it’s so strange to see all this talk of “the wall” on here, maybe at 50-60 it’s true but not at 30.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/22 02:15 AM

But why not? I can’t think of any legitimate reason anyone would be against marriage if you plan to combine households, have children, combine finances and stay together forever? It just makes sense especially legally (buying a house together, If your partner is in hospital or dies you get no rights to visit or get a sat in anything etc as you aren’t consider family by law).

I’m old enough to remember people saying “don’t label me!” But now there’s labels for literally everything…swerf means you don’t support sex work? Ok lots of people don’t especially due to the huge amount of exploitation and it being an industry that benefits men at the expense of women. Also wtf is a Demi sexual?! Lol how is only liking someone once you get to know them a label? It’s so normal? Sorry to highjack your comment but I don’t get these random labels being used lately. Am I pizzasexua…

Bingo. The older I get the more i see the 50/50 scam. Women are now expected to work AND do the majority of the childcare, household duties and organising. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a couple which is truly 50/50 but I’ve seen plenty of couples who both work and the women are so shattered from having essentially 2 jobs, and the women who don’t work outside the home seem to be better off 🤷‍♀️ (or be single!).
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/22 03:50 PM

The problem is that childcare is often more expensive than getting a job so they are kinda stuck

How old are you if you don’t mind? It was never a thing but maybe due to lockdown some people do it and have continued it? Idk if you like them then it’s fair I just really couldn’t ever go on one it sounds so miserable! I like to eat, drink relax and be warm and I also like getting dressed up, I just couldn’t feel a romantic connection walking around as an activity. A date doesn’t have to be expensive, I go to a nice casual restaurant for £20 for 2 people and lunch is probably cheaper.

Who just walks around a park with a stranger and calls it a date? Why don’t you go to a nice cafe for a cute lunch or an interesting cocktail bar to talk comfortably? No one in my country would ever do that. I’ve been on plenty of simple coffee dates or lunch dates but it’s so dangerous to meet a stranger in the park alone. And it’s winter now too! Idk where you live but here in England it will be empty, cold and raining. It makes me sad to think about…tbh I’ve only heard of this on Reddit so I …

Walk dates are for teenagers and even then they suck. Listen I live in Europe so it’s freezing cold and raining for 10 months of the year and it’s too hot in the summer you at least need to go get smoothies and ice cream or fish and chips or something…just walking around is seriously stupid and I’d laugh if any man suggested it

This is the one thing I just don’t get. I genuinely don’t think tall men look good. Especially over 6’. I feel so threatened and weird being next to one. Ideal is about 5’7 - 5’9 max.

I think context matters here - if you are both teenagers or in full time education then splitting is expected but if you are grown adults with full time jobs then…ehh it’d definitely be a yellow flag to a lot of women and it sends the signal he’s not interested. You should always offer but I guess I’ve been lucky (imo) that almost all of my adult dates the man insisted on paying and I’ve come to kind of expect it because it’s common 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 04:16 PM

I think it’s common with young people at school or university but into adulthood it’s definitely expected men pay for the first date (but it’s not like they have too). Such a stupid issue I see on here.

Nah that’s honestly how the majority of relationships are. I’m pretty sure there are studies somewhere that state women do the main housekeeping and child raising but are now working full time as well. If I’m working full time my partner damn better look after the kids and clean exactly as much as me 50/50 right

I’m also from the uk and yeah it can get expensive if it’s not basic dentistry. Fair enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/22 06:01 PM

But you could fix 90% of that with gym, dentistry and style. I sometimes see men and wonder why they don’t fix very basic “problems” but then complain about dating

It’s like asking men do you think women enjoy preforming femininity(make up, shaving, hair etc). Some do and some don’t but most men prefer women who do over those who don’t. Same with the men chasing women. It’s fun and exciting for us
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/22 10:02 PM
1

I’m from the uk as well and agree with you. I’m a millennial but I think it’s even worse for gen z. So many men I’ve met have at least 1-2 kids but never married nor do they look to “settle down” until their 30s or even older. Basically they want a woman to look after them now they are balding, fatting up and a single parent. No thank you,
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/22 05:10 PM

Because they are misogynistic. Once you realise that everything will become clear with these types.

Without seeming interesting or fun most women won’t feel attracted to him. You don’t have to be amazing, some of the most boring/basic men can create an aura of mystery and a fun environment. It’s simple but perhaps not easy for everyone

You incels are obsessed with looks aren’t you?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/22 10:18 AM

Women: They have high standards while dating but totally drop them when in a relationship to the point they complain about their boyfriend not cooking/cleaning and playing video games all day. The men know they won’t leave once they become comfortable. Men: not fun/interesting enough in the initial stages of dating so they often get friendzoned as there’s no chemistry or cheeky push/pull.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/22 07:56 PM

During most first dates the man paid especially if it was dinner. In relationships it depends who earns more money or works more in regards to rent/bills. I really dislike greedy men but I’ve been lucky so far not to meet any.

Wow you described it perfectly. I often wonder who these man are irl how they go around seemingly being normal. Reading the red pill actually helped me see red flags in these men early and avoid them.

What people like you don’t seem to understand is most young women aren’t interested in older men unless you completely supplement their lifestyles and even then it’s rare and she will most likely be less attractive as well as a gold digger. All the hottest women I’ve known have a similar age hot boyfriend. The ones who marry or date old guys are usually mousy and don’t have hot men their own age chasing them.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/22 06:46 PM
2

I don’t disagree with this. I’ve found that ugly men (and women I’m sure) tend to be meaner and project their insecurities onto others. I also don’t think they are necessary “easier” which is a gross way to look at it but I’ve often heard men say fat/ugly women have lower standards but it’s not true imo
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/22 06:42 PM
3

It’s reasonable but doesn’t mean you’ll get it. And looks are usually based on a whole not individual characteristics so a skinny average guy might not be in the same “league” ( 🤮) as a hot chubby woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/22 06:28 PM
2

That going 50/50 on a date, especially a first date is fine. No it is not. I will see him as cheap and low effort. Couldn’t be me. Otherwise I agree with lots of the women here. They seem way more normal than the men lol
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/22 08:55 PM

Fetishes are just so unsexy. No wonder people aren’t having sex all they do is talk and discuss and make their kinks their entire personality. You like bdsm? You built an entire room dedicated to it and it’s ok to beat women because she enjoys it and no it’s not a trauma response. So boring.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/22 07:12 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/22 06:38 PM

No that’s a terrible way to measure conventional attractiveness. As someone whose body is more attractive then face I wish it were that simple. Face will always win. Everyone would rather have an average/chubby partner with a gorgeous face then a fit ugly faced partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/22 06:33 PM

Of course. But hopefully you are dating a woman for more then just looks. If she/he doesn’t excite you, make you happy to be around them and look gorgeous to you then why bother. I’ve dated very unconventional looking men but damn did they look hot to me because they were fun and exciting.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/22 06:26 PM

What I’ve learned is that people have vastly different ideas about who or what is attractive especially in the opposite sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/22 06:24 PM

I think everyone who loves and respects their partner looks at them as attractive yes. You people are so cynical it’s actually sad.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/22 06:22 PM

Both should put in effort obviously
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/22 06:21 PM

Oh trust me it will benefit all women
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/22 06:20 PM

That’s why I support men who think like this removing themselves from the dating pool. No woman beautiful or average would be interested in such a man anyway so it’s a win for everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/22 05:33 PM

You shouldn’t. Men who think that way about relationships and love shouldn’t date anyone. Just remove yourselves from the dating pool, it’s fine.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/22 05:29 PM

Why would any women tolerate a man who calls her average and doesn’t put in effort or romance especially when the man is most likely average-below average. I can see why most ppd men are single.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/22 05:09 PM

I post with my photo on my profile. I don’t get the point of hiding yourself on social media. I don’t troll or bully anyone so why would I care who sees my account. I think the anonymity of Reddit is why most subs are so toxic.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/22 11:28 PM

Online dating is truly horrific. I’ve only ever managed 2 weeks total before deleting the apps. In person dating is harder to find especially these days with technology but wow it’s way better

Well if he asks me out then kinda yeah
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/22 02:11 AM

I really don’t get gym men who say this. It’s so odd as the men wear similarly “revealing” clothing. And speaking for myself I workout harder when I look nice and wear cute gym outfits. Sometimes I just go into a studio room alone to workout but I still wear a cute outfit. It ain’t for you lol
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/22 01:35 AM
4

I go to the gym regularly. While it’s ok to look discreetly obviously stating is creepy. If you see a woman you like you can just do small tests to see if she’s interested, like smiling or if you are both regulars just start with small talk. And go from there if she gives you signals and leave it if she doesn’t. Simples.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/22 01:33 AM
3

I think there’s a few who are only doing for the money/clout but red pill is against women/not in their interests. It’s like asking if there’s any FDS creators who are males. Doesn’t make much sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 10:25 PM
1

I’m 200% sure these women are more attractive then OP.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/22 12:35 AM
1

But you need to stand out to actually get a girlfriend. So if you’re talking to a woman you’re interested in and she mentions she loves a particular restaurant, then you can ask her out/take her to her favourite place. It’s just about listening and putting in small amounts of effort which many men won’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 06:03 PM
3

I also think men are really bad at putting in effort. A lot of women would be impressed with a man taking her on a date somewhere he knows she likes (I.e favourite restaurant) or getting a gift of her favourite flowers or a book idk. Many don’t even put in effort with their style or how they look (although younger men are getting better at this) they just turn up in a mismatched low effort outfit and hair that looks like it was cut by their mamma.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 01:55 PM
1

Me either but we aren’t in the majority
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/22 10:35 PM
1

I agree most of the women here are similar to the men (geeky/alternative/stem/introverted). Reddit just attracts this type of people as other social media is more looks based/social.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/22 09:29 PM
7

I only skimmed your post but I caught enough buzzword from incel/red pillers to catch your drift. Virtually everything posted here is so far from reality (in my life anyway) it’s comical. No, men in their 30s aren’t dating or settling down with 20yr olds (not the common man anyway). Yes 30 is relatively young for men AND women. Men also have a biological clock which is why men at 35 and over aren’t allowed to donate sperm (higher risk).
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/22 08:17 PM
3

I haven’t read the study in depth but have heard a lot from it in this sub. I’m not even interested in science but even I know you can’t take 1 study (especially a one from a random dating site years ago) and use it as facts for the whole population.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/22 08:11 PM
2

Some I assume just wanna have fun with a guy who is attractive to them it’s not always then wanting him to leave his wife and marry her especially if she’s younger
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/22 10:48 AM
4

The vast majority of men here are incel/red pill/mgtow or whatever name they give themselves. So they aren’t “normal” or “average” in any way even though they claim to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/22 11:44 AM
0

Imo communication is way overstated on here. It’s so obvious, why even mention it? And Most relationship problems have nothing to do with not talking or communicating properly. It’s coming to a satisfactory decision or both parties wanting/doing different things that’s the issue. I just don’t understand grown adults who need to be told to communicate with their partner. It’s so so basic
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/22 11:42 AM
2

Would you date a women who has a similar body to yourself? As in she is obese but carry’s it well?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/22 08:32 PM
2

I think many obese people simply don’t see themselves as big. 240lbs at 6’2 is obese. Like that’s more then just fat, it’s really huge. All you can do is lose the weight and then you’ll be in a much better position to date a woman, especially if you gain some muscle too.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/22 07:32 PM
1

As a relatively fit woman I would never date a man like you. I’m not attracted to obese men but also your personality seems incompatible
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/22 07:27 PM
47

This topic has been discussed a million times. All I’ll say is adults can do whatever they want. Including judging others and calling behaviours creepy. You are free to date a teenager (as long as she’s 18+) at whatever age you want. You are not free to demand others accept this as normal and healthy and they can call you any name they want.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/22 11:17 AM

They are shit for women. For men i would say don’t even bother tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/22 12:26 AM

I hear this opinion a lot here but have never seen it play out in real life. And even if that is true, so what? If her standards are “too high” then she’ll just stay single forever or until she finds a man she likes.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/22 08:09 PM

I’ve learned from other womens mistakes, yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 07:59 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 07:38 PM

I’m not talking about mind games though. I’ve heard men here talk about dating like being a dancing monkey. It’s because they don’t like flirting and going on typical dates, which I understand but a lot of women enjoy the fun of it. And it’s not wasted time if you both have a good time. If you are dating/talking/flirting you should already know the other person is potentially interested in you. And communication isn’t all direct, non verbal cues/eye contact are also part of communication which s…

/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 03:10 PM

I don’t know about helped but it definitely opened my eyes to how cruel some men could be. I thought after school boys stopped making fun of women and gossiping but I learned that’s not true. I’m sure some men realised similar things about women too!
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 03:09 PM
11

I think the disconnect with pdd men and men who date is that the former simply enjoy the “game” of dating. Being straight forward is boring imo, I (and the men I usually date) enjoy the back and forth, the fun, the “does he/she like me” and flirting. I wouldn’t enjoy someone who doesn’t like this or dating in general. I don’t think gender roles have changed much at all really, not fundamentally anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 03:04 PM
8

No one told me or any girl I’ve met we were unique individuals and are more then body parts anymore so then boys. In fact boys were given much more freedom and let off with the saying boys will be boys. Guess we all grow up indifferent environments
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 03:00 PM
39

What do you want though? For women to start taking the lead and approaching men on a wide scale? Then men would need to stop saying yes just for what they perceive to be easy sex. There is no incentive for women to directly ask so why do it? It would require a total role reversal for the genders which not enough people want.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 02:44 PM
1

I think that’s true of a lot of people on there. Maybe it’s just me but I don’t enjoy talking to random people it’s super boring much rather have fun irl
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 09:53 AM

I agree, I’ve been around here long enough to see it’s mostly “normal” women and incel/Blackpill men who endlessly complain about women.

I somewhat agree. It’s also true for women becoming what most men view as high value.

The whole fisherman thing is stupid. And it never seems to extend to women not wanting mens advice in dating. I think everyone should seek advice from whoever has what they want. So I guess men should ask successful men/women should ask successful women.

Everyone should aim for the best partner they can get irregardless of standards or if you meet them or not. If you can’t get someone you want oh well either lower then or be alone. Simple. But no one should put others down.

I agree some women do prefer that. Not me though. I hate texting a random stranger, much prefer to see if there’s chemistry first irl.

I often wonder where these people live too. I rarely see hot men with very obese/ugly women in my city. I assume it’s just lies tbh.

Omg it just sucks. One thing that I agree with the pua/red pill (?) is that you should only chat for a short amount of time before arranging to meet. Why are dudes just endlessly sending messages without actually asking a woman out on a date? It’s so boring.

I’ve never understood this. A lot of women I know either work part time or not at all when they get married and have kids, it’s usually only the poorer ones who both partners need to work full time. Unless she married a dickhead why would he interrogate her for spending money (I know he earns it but it’s presumably for his family?). I think it’s a (costal area) American thing? In the UK people only work so much due to not having enough money for one partner to look after the family and it’s kind…

Pick up women 🤮 But I do agree things are moving online too much and people are getting more anti social. To answer your question, if a woman thinks you are attractive then she’ll respond positively to you as long as you can read basic social ques

What a disingenuous take. And buying someone lunch doesn’t equal a provider. If you don’t want to spend any money on a woman you are dating then don’t, but you can’t force her to accept that of other men will.

I’m not saying you’ll change your mind but that’s what everyone thinks when they’re young. Just do what works for you

Yeah definitely you should only have kids if you are 100% sure you want them. And finding someone who will make a good dad or even mum is hard

Then don’t get married? Who is forcing you? But most people want marriage and kids at some point

I mean generally obviously people are different

Around 13 - 23 (it’s usually teenage girls and early 20s). Mid 20s is probably in between but ladies between 35 - 60 seem to love the hyper masculine look

Maybe for you but having kids and living together is extremely important to most people.

I totally agree. They don’t actually want traditional relationships, just the benefits for themselves and non for their partner. To be truly traditional the men need to financially support his wife and kids, but many don’t want/can’t do that but still expects his partner to work and contribute financially as well as look after his kids and the household. Lol.

More masculine/rugged men are preferred by older women and more “feminine” men are preferred by young women. I think men on here and red pill in general get confused about this as they think all women like hyper masculine strong men but it’s not true.

I don’t really get this issue as most ppd/red pill types go on about attraction due to biology and socialisation which is why they say men prefer young attractive women but you seem to have a problem when the expectations and preferences are on the man?

I mostly agree with you but tbh dating and relationships are huge parts of your life and it’s understandable to be “obsessed” with it as long as you don’t go too far

I’ve actually found more attractive women (and men) tend to be nicer and more interesting. Probably because they’re less likely to be insecure and receive positive feedback.

They’re trying desperately to convince themselves they’ll slay with the ladies once they get older which is such cope

I don’t have an opinion on the current dating “market” as in I’ve not had much trouble and have mostly been in relationships but it confuses me how mad ppd/red pill or whatever men get when women have easy access to sex. I know that’s all you want but most women want an attractive (to her), fun, respectful guy who is also good in bed (even for casual flings) and that isn’t so easy to find, the ones you are able to get random men on tinder aren’t always getting anything decent.

Yes most of the privileges are only reserved for very attractive women and men also benefit (he buys a hot woman a drink just to have a chance with her etc). I can’t think of many real privileges for all women.
