Men and women are complementary, and there's nothing wrong with that. But what you are doing is essentially accepting that men are people too. I understand why in the current "the future is female" environment that's a courageous think to do, but think about it... Accepting that men are valuable people is courageous. There's still a long way to accept that men are systematically being discriminated.

You are approaching it the wrong way. You shouldn't need to convince her, she should convince you. The default position should be to not mutilate the genitals of your child. If she wants to do such an extreme measure, she should better have a pretty damn good reason for it. You don't to go to a trial to demonstrate your innocence, you go to make sure the prosecution doesn't fool the jury on your guilt.

With 70k+ upvotes, it seems indeed not an unpopular opinion. A right wing opinion in r/ChapoTrapHouse is not a right wing opinion in general. The fact that a post there is upvoted or downvoted doesn't mean anything outside that sub. People that follow r/unpopularopinion must like unpopular opinions, otherwise they wouldn't be there. So the fact that some post is liked there doesn't mean it's popular outside that sub.
