I think he was talking about the fact that the kid isn't going to survive.

I think to be slander you'd have to accuse someone specifically.

Yeah, it doesn't speak to being more inclusive; giving players a choice would be more inclusive. Even if random avatars is a design choice, the official response is arrogant

It's only recently (and only sometimes) that you get to customize your avatar in a FPS at all, it's hard to argue that they are undermining a fundamental concept.

The game had only male avatars prior to this change. The 'half the population' they are referring to are women, who prior to the change could only play as an avatar that didn't represent them. I still think it's annoying to force it to be randomized and go 'now you know how they feel, jerks!', though.

The game only had male avatars prior to this change, so I think their point is that female players previously had to play the opposite gender already. If anything the disingenuous implication is that 50% of players are female

It's pretty obvious they aren't talking about transgender at all, really.

It's pretty clear that the feelings they are referring to are women being forced to play with a male avatar in the game up to this point. Where are you getting transgender stuff from?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
