And i never claimed they were, my point was that sourcing was at best limiting in pure logical substitution or recontextualisation, the goal of a logical substitution is to see if the logic of a given arguments holds up when taken out of its context. If you need sourcing for pure rethorical analysis you have to go to old philosophers because they codified these procedures of tought exploration.
