I get the whole not going out with makeup thing. God, yes, it's a social crutch and I think women have been doing it since we were cave dwellers... it's not going to go away. Perhaps it's a courting thing from a male perspective and they want to show that they are strong, prob not the right word.

There are other reasons to cry, like incredible joy at seeing your newborn lying in the arms of the love of your life... surely? I've seen grown men cry when their football team did something special. Nobody thought they were weak.
