| 0 | Why does TRP prevent non-subscribers from commenting, posting or voting?Well that contributed nothing to the discussion so I'll ignore it. | /r/askTRP | 01/07/14 02:59 PM |
| -1 | Why does TRP prevent non-subscribers from commenting, posting or voting? Thanks for your detailed response! I would just like to comment that my username is merely an attempt to change the belief that feminism is anything more than equality between the genders (which I can't see many people disagreeing with as a positive thing, especially as 'gender' is a becoming a fairly obsolete term) I definitely expect the shorter-sighted members of your community to have a knee-jerk reaction to that. But that just shows a misunderstanding of feminism... I do understand the reas… | /r/askTRP | 01/07/14 02:55 PM |
| -1 | Why does TRP prevent non-subscribers from commenting, posting or voting? It bothers me because it creates a one sided debate (I guess I am repeating myself there!). It also bothers me because you celebrate a surge in subscriptions even though people who completely disagree with your point of view HAVE to subscribe in order to have their voices heard. Do you not see the hypocrisy in that? I should also note that most of the responses I've received have been far more confrontational, insulting and assumptive than any of my comments. Your fear of criticism as a communit… | /r/askTRP | 01/07/14 02:36 PM |
| 0 | Why does TRP prevent non-subscribers from commenting, posting or voting? How is 'Why does the TRP prevent non-subscribers from commenting posting or voting?' confrontational? It's a legitimate question... I didn't think TRP was so sensitive to criticism, if anything you're just displaying insecurity in your beliefs to me. | /r/askTRP | 01/07/14 02:04 PM |
| 0 | Why does TRP prevent non-subscribers from commenting, posting or voting? And thanks to /u/Jibs_ for providing me with an answer, but surely I have a right to question that answer? This is /r/asktrp/ isn't it? | /r/askTRP | 01/07/14 01:58 PM |
| -1 | Why does TRP prevent non-subscribers from commenting, posting or voting? That's not being confrontational that is me referencing a view held by most psychologists... I don't have any people to 'crow' to about any of this, i'm merely trying to understand how your subreddit works and contribute to the debate. I did post a specific question. I never said you were terrible. Please stop making so much stuff up :/ | /r/askTRP | 01/07/14 01:57 PM |
| -1 | Why does TRP prevent non-subscribers from commenting, posting or voting? So you seriously believe that most people with a legitimate criticism of TRP are going to happily boost your subscription numbers? To me it seems like you are actively trying to prevent intelligent debate by removing one side from the equation. | /r/askTRP | 01/07/14 01:51 PM |
| -1 | Why does TRP prevent non-subscribers from commenting, posting or voting?I am not here to get a rise out of someone, is any of my language deliberately inflammatory? No. I am trying to understand how people can make sweeping generalizations about HALF of the world's population. I also want to understand why you think feminism is anything other than equality for the sexes (in my opinion sex is irrelevant outside of a medical setting). I respect your right to hold the views you hold but I don't think your permissions system creates healthy discourse. I've read the side… | /r/askTRP | 01/07/14 01:47 PM |
| -4 | Why does TRP prevent non-subscribers from commenting, posting or voting?Don't you think such a rule fuels a one-sided debate? When a group gets together on the internet and everyone is agreeing with each other it leads to irrational and extreme perspectives. Does that not concern you? | /r/askTRP | 01/07/14 01:38 PM |
