In the states that allow common law marriage, most of them are effective immediately upon presenting as "married" to the public, and none of them are longer than a year. Yes but even among women there are varying degrees of experience, so while being a woman will lower your average chances of success, it doesn't really say anything about the relative chances of an individual.
