–	About patriarchy Patriarchy exists because it = civilization. In a "natural" state all the women in a tribal unit would gravitate to the alpha male, who would monopolize them as part of his position. This would create a chaotic state of betas that get no sex plotting and fighting to gain the alpha position, with the women simply moving onto whoever claims the alpha.
