I'm really concerned about your safety. Unless you have capable people around you, I wouldn't break up face to face (even then, wouldn't suggest it). I would also advise against ever going back around him. Not even to give back some of his stuff. I had a choker. After I left him, he caught me outside his house when I dropped some of his stuff off. He tried to kick my head in while screaming die, bitch die. I was trapped in my car. He wouldn't stop. Same thing happened to my cousin but, the guy h…

Make a nice long list of all the bad things about him and all the bs he pulled or did to you. Then make a list of all the great things about you and why you know you deserve so much more!

This is so important. Instead of walking out, I have to put up with all his BS until I make my exit. Give up nothing for them!

I'm sorry that I made you feel attacked. That wasn't my intention. You said that you didn't understand why your post was getting push back. I pointed out some of the reasons that I thought were part of the problem. I didn't project anything onto you. I relayed my experiences and experiences of others. None of which included nightly 3am wake ups nor did I say they did. Have a good night.

If something needs mending, it's not whole. It's broken, shredded, torn, etc. If getting woken up in the middle of the night makes you feel like you're in a healthy, loving relationship, more power to you. If you want to be reprimanded like you're a child or a subordinate, have at it. It's not my cup of tea but, to each their own.

I'll point out a few of the flaws, I hope it doesn't come out too rude. If you're broken and need someone else to put you back together, that's not FDS (pretty sure that falls under deluded pickme/ romantic fantasy). I'm also pretty sure dating broken men isn't FDS either (you're not their mom or their therapist). I've only had creeps and abusers wake me up in the middle of the night. It's a selfish act from people that have no self control or respect (your HVM is supposed to be respectful). And…

I've dealt with a porn addict for a few decades. They're sick in the head and they won't change unless they really, really, want to. And a "decent guy", wouldn't keep crossing boundaries. You can try taking a look at r/PornFreeRelationships, I'm pretty sure there are resources on the side bar. Personally, I would never put up with it again. Too much trouble.

This needed a warning. Video title didn't sound like it meant spewing hatred. Thought some guy had seen the light.

She doesn't understand the meaning of no ring. He probably tells her he loves her and that "we're forever" or some other dumb line. When it dawns on her, she won't be smiling.

Even the young ones are acting like the girl in the relationship? I thought my SO was just getting low testosterone and that was the cause of his feminine side coming out. Guess I should just plan on being alone, I can't take anymore girly men.

Do young white men not know that you have to earn respect? Probably not since old white men don't know it either.

A couple months with a counselor from betterhelp.com. You'll get so much validation, you'll be sick of it and never doubt yourself again.

I've had to deal with this for decades. It gets worse with time. Personally, I see bringing things up over and over again as a red flag. It seems like they do that to wear you down so you'll see/do things their way. I find it manipulative and controlling. I'd be wary if this turns into a habit. It started out innocent enough with my SO. Before I knew it, all the things I did before him were too dangerous after him. I'm amazed I lived long enough to meet him. /s

This was painful to read. I hate being stuck. With the SO, the waitress test doesn't work. He'll go on and on about the waitress test and how he's such a great person because "look at how I treat the waitress". It's nauseating.

Yeah, I thought of that too. That's why I mentioned her mail and him snooping. I'd be in some serious trouble if my SO found my pills. He won't care that I've tried to have a conversation with him multiple times or that he completely dismissed my concerns. I rather deal with the abuse if I get caught than chance him being a father and the abuse the kid would get.

I've being using nurx for about 9 months now. Hasn't let me down yet. I also don't think it's a good time to run off to the doctor. If her SO suspects she's thinking about leaving, he very well may try for a baby. That's what mine did and I've known others to pull that as well.

In case op takes the advice for birth control, which I would recommend, nurx is great! You don't have to leave the house to get it! As long as he doesn't open her mail or snoop through everything, he'll never know!

It sounds like you draw personality disordered men. Normal people don't act like that. The suicide threat guy probably had BPD. I've had my fair share. I've always been too nice and lacked boundaries. That's what they look for.

The last time I was nice to someone just to be polite, I ended up being harassed. Being "nice" is just asking for trouble. If they were good people, you wouldn't have to pretend.

You might want to block him but, keep the conversation until you know he isn't going to go bat-shit-crazy. Him not taking the hint after all those unanswered hi's reminds me of my stalker/harasser. He didn't take to kindly to being blocked.

Your carecrow sounds an awful lot like a covert narc. He really, really loves you but he forgot to blah, blah, blah. Nobody is that forgetful, nor are they that incompetent. It's an act. After the carelessness comes the meanness. Because you expect too much from them when they were trying their best!

I'm starting to think they are all monsters. Surely it's not true but, from my experience, it can take decades for it to come out. That's a long time to pretend to be decent or at least not physically abusive.

My SO screamed and yelled at me one day for cheating on him. I really wanted to punch him in the face, instead, I VIVIDLY described the rape. I should have went with my first instinct, anyone that calls that cheating is a piece of garbage.

I knew one of those guys. His greatest aspiration in life was to get on disability because poor him had diabetes (the kind you take a pill for...) and high blood pressure. They're leaches on society.

Mine went from contrarian/devils advocate to Mr. Doom and gloom. Got a yoga swing. I'm going to break my kneck. Going out at night? Someone is going to rob/rape/kill me. Any good thing that happens, he has to tell me all the bad things that could go wrong or might happen. People like that suck the joy and happiness out of life.

It took me 42 years to start ditching my family. Only a couple of people knew how bad they truly were. You fake it until you just can't anymore or something in your head just clicks. Then you're done.

When I was younger I had a serious issue of drawing too many men. I was shy but, it came across as a mix of stuck up and zero f*&k's given. They want what they can't have. I still draw people but, it's all troubled, depressed strangers dumping their problems on me...

I find them to be disrespectful too. I have stories that cover everything from being made fun of to straight up incompetence that nearly killed me and my son. I avoid doctors like the plague. I have a well stocked supply of herbs, doctors are a last resort.

I can see I haven't been missing much. I didn't make it past episode three after Negan showed up. I couldn't stand his character. The only thing I haven't seen forgiven with actors and shows is political stance and male on male sex scenes.

LVM who want relationships are actually more dangerous and can damage your life/future a lot more than fuckboys who just want you for a night. Very true! 20+ years of my life wasted. Not to mention the consequences to my body and mind from all of the stressful bs. Oh well, it's almost over.

My SO told me I was going to end up alone "because what you want doesn't exist". lol he doesn't think grown men exist. Do you think they all believe it or do they all just hope you'll believe it so they can continue to be a man child?

Do they all do that? My SO just started that. I wanted to ask if he wanted a cookie or if he was cheating.

You, unfortunately, allowed another abusive person into your life. Past abuse makes abusive behavior normal, so you don't always catch on right away. I've come to the conclusion that poor boundaries, low self esteem, lack of self love, feeling unworthy and unlovable, can all cause you to put up with things you shouldn't. Deal with the ones that apply. Abuse will become intolerable and you should notice anything that's off, right away. I don't know if you can't tell anyone about abuse or if it's …

I read a some of your comments. Are you sure your chronic pain isn't from mental stress? It took me a decade to realize that my chronic pain was from being tense all the time. It's called armoring. I was even diagnosed with fibromyalgia at one point. A fascia blaster worked miracles for the body tension. By the way, your SO sounds like a real piece of work. I have one similar. They're not worth your health.

Yeah, I think it's the high school clique mentality or herd mentality. People tend to stick with the bully because they fear they'll be next. There is also the need to belong. You really have to nip it in the bud with bully's, they multiply quickly and the bullying escalates.

I've come to the conclusion that they ask so they can try the same bs. Had a guy friend a few years ago do this. He was shocked when I stood up for myself. At one point he told me it was ok to disrespect me because the bf did the same thing. It's like if you tell them they NEED to do it too. This has happened more than once.

This goes for family too. If they can't be bothered to even make a simple phone call on your birthday or holidays, who needs them. I think a lot of people put up with disrespect because it was normalized by family.

Find a phrase and keep repeating it until you believe it and are acting on it. I am is more powerful than want or need or any other phrasing. Think I am happy instead of I want to be happy. Focus on the reality that you want, not the one you don't want or the one you have.

My SO is his own boss, chooses his own schedule. Over six months out of the year he chooses to sit home on his behind playing on his tablet and watching tv. His parents have bought him two houses, given him several cars. It just made him put in even less effort. They don't get better with time, they get lazier. Potential got me a lazy man child that can't even take out the trash.
