The trickle approach should be taken with a grain of salt because any approach works on a girl who is already interested. If the initial in person interaction had been mediocre, the trickle approach via text probably would have been ineffective. The tactics in the popular post on the other hand would be at least somewhat effective whether she was interested or not. They're both tools that can be utilized but should not be compared to one another as contrasting tactics. Definitely. The whole poin…

I've heard this is just an American thing as well. Would be interesting to see how this plays out in other countries.

:) Yup, saying "are you single?" is a perfect way to transition into asking her on the date. Thanks for sharing!

Golden advice. You HAVE TO HAVE THE EXPERIENCE with your dating life to see results. That means going out, trying different things, and learning. It's not failing - it's just what you have to do. Then when you have the experience, you have a frame of reference for advice and you can see whether certain things work for you or not by testing them out in reality.

I agree - you don't want to force a connection with anyone. That is toxic and needy, and will lead to guys going on dates that they don't want to go on. But FOCUSING on building a connection is great - it tells you whether or not you want to spend more time with her. Connection IS seeing if she's worth your time. It's connection to feelings, to values, to life. If there's no connection, then obviously you wouldn't want to spend more time with her, and you should eliminate her as a possible datin…

It depends on the situation. Either works - just test it against your own experiences. Here's how it works for me: Let's say I meet a girl in the street and ask her on a date for a very specific time. She could flake later because I basically just told her that I'm more important than whatever she's doing on that day. Why should she cancel her plans to meet some random dude she just met on the street (even if I'm super attractive)? The girls I like to date have a life and aren't willing to throw…

Definitely. It's called a 'Duchenne' Smile. If we try to just smile with our mouths it looks fake, but if we forget about the mouth and smile with our eyes it's genuine. And helps us be happy ourselves.

Just moved out of Philly, and I can't believe no one mentioned this spot already... TIME - It's a bit more upscale, but it's a whiskey bar with a great vibe. Live music, and a dance club upstairs. If you like women in cocktail dresses that have more professional jobs, this spot is amazing. I've met fun lawyers, consultants, and doctors here. A great change of pace from the college bars and EDM spots too.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
