What I THINK he meant for "fake" smile is more of the facial description, its pretty obvious to tell if someone is force smiling. -5	Is this sexist? Why are girls allowed to basically do what they want with their hair, but guys can't even have hair below collars? Surely THAT'S sexist? You're in high-school, right? And for simplicity, all of chinese population used this parenting method and none of the Americans utilize it. China will have 0.65 Billion "successful" persons. It is all about her personal glorification, so that she can boast with other parents about how successful her kids are. You basically described 90% of all Asians, not just her. The children may despise/disagree with what their parents said/do, but they must respect them. So giving Christian (or you prefer "English") name is a common practice. The admiration of the western culture. Giving your children an "English" name can prepare them for success in a "English" dominated world. It is NEVER that Chinese are ashamed of being Chinese.
