I have a stay at home wife. It's honestly great for both of us. I have a good job that pays well and allows me to work only 40h a week. She loves being a housewife because she loves doing house chores. She doesn't expect me to do house chores because it's her job, just as I don't expect her to work and pay bills because it's my job.

Don't read Twitter replies. It's never worth it. Also stop following garbage people. Add people to a private list and you will get a timeline that is properly sorted (by posting time) and without ads.

it's hard as fuck. i've cried out of anger sometimes but it's only after the "damn breaks" aka when there's so much stuff pilled up that the only way out is a lot of emotions. you are 100% not alone and it's the worst. i wish i wasn't like this.

I’m sorry they mocked you. couple of years ago i asked them about it, and they shrugged. for them, that was normal -- men are men and shouldn't be emotional. it took my dad years to actually hug me, before that it was just a handshake. like at the movies or when someone opens up about some kind of trauma they went through. I can’t help it my eyes well up. I think my dad is the same way. i'm the opposite. i never cried watching a movie. even absurdly sad movies like dear zachary (which i absolute…

When I was young my parents would mock me every time I cried (everything from singing parody songs, calling me sissy, saying I would never grow up strong). Guess what? Now I have problems expressing emotions. Crying is specially hard -- I don't recall the last time I cried. Not even in anger. Even normal emotions are weird. Whenever I open myself, even for my SO, I feel too vulnerable. Or as if someone will mock me again.

Well because it would look exactly like the current male world cup lol. Also did you know the NFL is not gender segregated? You could, for example, field a woman. But can you imagine this woman getting absolutely murdered by huge linebackers on live TV? Neither do I.

For people that don't know, male and female tennis players earn the same, but male players play 5 sets a while females play 3.

Latinos too! We are PoC when it's convenient (I.e. when the person is female) but white when we are male.

This post is making it out like she got away with it because she's a woman, when really she got away with it because she's rich and famous It's both. Nowadays, rich men cannot get away with sexual assault because of #metoo (see Weinstein, Cosby, Kevin Spacey and others. The thing is, I haven't seen any outrage towards her. She confessed to her crimes and that was it. People dismissed as "oh she was poor and a stripper".

I agree. The problem is that these vocal minority misandrists are the ones affecting public policy. They are the ones politicians hear. Unless we get more women like you out there, speaking their mind, this shit will continue.

i was sexually assaulted by a woman a looong time ago (we had sex while i was blackout drunk and she wasn't). the only reaction i got at the time was "nice!". i still won't get drunk in public without a chaperone (be it my wife, or a good friend).

I don't agree. I'm ok with gender exlusive gyms. But having any gender pay less for the same service the other gender is paying more is bullshit.

I sometimes forget that women poop. you will know you love someone when you can smell them shitting and you don't really care. (bonus points if you can hear their struggle).

My wife always told me that women are ruthless in an office environment. To the point where she could never really befriend women, because sem he doesn't like to chat shit about other people.

I think we would need a consensus of mods to do anything more than that, user consensus -- if we, as a group ask the mods to do it, we should do it.

I really really don't miss working at Vila Olimpia and living downtown -- the traffic was just horrible. Two and a half hours to get home was normal if it was raining.

The easy way to handle this is ask the poster to reverse the genders. Do they still think that it was a 'make a wish' case if it was a hot older guy doing this to a 15y old girl?

I'm sad because stuff like this only ever seems to be accepted when it comes from a woman's lips. even when it comes from women's lips, they (the rad-dumblr-like feminists) say it's internalized misogyny or some shit.

It's not about lowering, it's about increasing. Most decisions regarding media are: "did this change will make my x to more? Is so, by how much percent?" And if the percent is big enough and covers the money spent doing the change, they implement it.

nah, hacker is a guy that knows a lot but knows how much he still needs to learn and he wants to learn more, every day. he wants to challenge himself. it's the guy that goes into an opensource project just for the fun of learning how that works, or the guy that buys a book on a obscure language that he will never use at work, just because it will improve him as a developer.
