In some way I at least see it as the police being the authority and the one's in charge of keeping matters civil and courteous as it should be, it's more of a defensive stand, they'll get physical if needed. Military police are as well there to keep matters civil and enforce the law, courtesy and civility....fuck that, you don't want to follow rules you'll follow the asphalt.
