Ok - I’m out. I’ve been through the shit myself and I want to see the advancement of men’s rights. Trying to hang your hat on this guy and hold him up as some shining example for men being taken advantage of? Are you serious? This isn’t going to help the cause - it’s only going to give others more reason to discredit us and write us off. There are legitimate cases out there of men’s rights being trampled on and of men being treated as subhuman. If you’re going to hold up a guy like Alex Jones th…

I’ve noticed that happening to me some too. I don’t think too much of it. If they call me something like that then I just reciprocate in kind in a good natured way and have fun with it.

Ask her to clarify further. Try to do it in email so there’s a paper trail. If you wanted you could report her to the state licensing board for counselors/therapists.

In a general sense just stick up for men. When you hear people putting men down just because of their gender then call them out on there bs. Beyond that you could try to educate yourself more on some of the relevant statistics and information. The Red Pill movie is a good place to start.

I think you can stream it from Amazon Prime. She says that she started the documentary as a feminist trying to expose the men’s rights movement and changed her mind during filming. I think the men’s rights lawyer from the movie is dead now too.

Then don’t go by their language. All of us here know that being forced to penetrate is rape - so if it’s rape then call it rape.

I’m not arguing that music can’t effect a movie - nobody is. We are in agreement that the movie sucked. I’ve just shrugged it off, moved on with my life, and am saying that the soundtrack was nice. If I would sit down and just listen to the CM soundtrack and not watch the movie then I would enjoy the experience...that’s all I’m saying. I’m not going into music theory with you or talking about the history of music in cinema or Rotten Tomatoes scores....all I’m saying is that I like Nirvana and RE…

I see your point but reject your premise. You can absolutely separate a soundtrack from a movie. Every song on there was released separately from the movie and decades before. Maybe if it was written for the movie like Eye of the Tiger for Rocky, but that isn’t the case.
/r/MensRights22/02/21 05:08 PM

Yeah - like I said the whole movie was awful. It’s pretty universally hated. Consider the soundtrack as a separate entity from the movie though. The Guardians of the Galaxy soundtracks were pretty great too - Cap. Marvel soundtrack was good too...just a later genre of songs. They had Nirvana, a couple R.E.Ms, and No Doubt was a good band...and if you don’t believe me then leave a message and I’ll call you back. I am willing to hit you in the nuts though if that helps.

I would humbly and highly suggest that you seek out counseling. As a rule of thumb I’d say that everyone could benefit from counseling. However, for an abuse victim you are much more likely to have longer lasting pain and/or disfunction from the abuse - counseling can help. Self care, dude. Your life matters.

Your logic is weak and flawed. You’re trying to paint the picture that its only race and not gender that determines this. If that we’re true then wouldn’t black men and women be killed in more equal numbers? Nobody is denying that race doesn’t factor in...that’s why they included the racial breakdowns in the data. It obvious that gender also plays a huge role too...unless you’re intentionally trying to ignore that and being obtuse.

Hey there ad hominem! How was your day? You’re still going for personal attacks because your argument is invalid. In case you forget too Trump is a sexual predator and all of this is glaringly hypocritical. You seem like a troll. Is it a paid gig? Foreign or domestic? If you’re not then seek out a therapist or counselor. Have you googled any around you?
/r/MensRights08/05/20 11:44 PM
1

No, ad hominem is: “directed against a person rather than the position they are maintaining” - from google dictionary Or: “...strategy whereby genuine discussion of the topic at hand is avoided by instead attacking the character, motive, or other attribute of the person making the argument...” Both of those describes to a tee what you’ve been doing in every reply to me. You’re wrong...again. Seriously, seek out therapy. You clearly have anger issues and are making the rest of us look bad.

Ok, I get it...civil discourse is lost on you. As is the ability to argue a point without using logical fallacies or contradictions. You haven’t replied to anything I’ve said without using ad hominem, that last one was strawman too. You do realize that people will visit this sub that may not agree with the men’s rights movement, right? You should know then that if any of those people see you debating things on here and letting it devolve into childish name calling then even if you were right (yo…

I have responded...by pointing out the hypocrisy of it, how Trump is a sexual predator. You aren’t interested in engaging in that because you know there’s no defense you could give.
/r/MensRights08/05/20 11:40 AM
1

Attacking the person instead of the argument. That’s an ad hominem logical fallacy. People do that when they know that their arguments won’t hold any water. Try to focus on the argument and not the person...if you can comprehend civil discourse. Tell me, are you here because you care about men’s rights? Or because you want to get in some dumb ass political pissing match?

Are women to blame for for ‘toxic masculinity’? Yes, since it’s not really something that exists. It’s more of something that has become a catch all of a way to simply blame men for everything. For example: we never really hear the term ‘toxic femininity’ because the idea of women is being portrayed as inherently good while the idea of men is being portrayed as inherently bad, or toxic. If you don’t have any actual logic and reason as to why you’re trying to say that men are the bad guys in a si…

Yes. Doesn’t matter what the law says or what any study says; anyone forcing anyone else to have sex against their will is rape. Gender is irrelevant in the matter.
/r/MensRights30/03/20 11:22 AM

Shutup you ass! Saying crap like that just gives people who are against men’s rights ammo to say that we’re all toxic and hateful. If you’re struggling with bitterness and anger than seek out counseling or therapy - talk to someone. Don’t go spewing your poison here though.
/r/MensRights24/03/20 01:26 AM

That’s not true. She straight up admits to hitting him. She makes some dumbass excuse trying to make some distinction between hitting him or punching him, which are both the same thing, but she does admit to hitting him. It’s not only textbook domestic assault she admits to its also textbook abuser kind of justification. She’s is an abuser. Stop trying to defend someone who is so clearly an abuser.

Yes!! This isn’t a court hearing, it’s a job interview...an interview which if awarded is for life. He’s not a leader man, he’s Putin’s puppet. It’s not hearsay about him reading Hitlers speeches and being really into them - which are reminiscent of some of his own speeches...Donnie just isn’t as eloquent or inspiring. His ex-wife wrote about it in her book so it’s eyewitness testimony. That and when there were literal Nazi rallies where the nazis were also Trump supporters trump wouldn’t condemn them. No, you didn’t back it up, you only stated your own racist opinion with no supporting evidence. Your logic is flawed in a lot of ways. I think Trump’s a neo nazi (I gave supporting evidence in previous comments that you ignored) does that mean that I’m supposed to be Jewish too? And the fact that you’re still picking at this bone trying to build a case for some wild Jewish conspiracy does make you sound like a nazi. Logical fallacy of ad hominem. You can't refute the points she made in her stand up routine so you switch to personal attacks to try to discredit her and take the attention off the points she made. Sort of weak and petty, isn't it?

I think you were directing your impotent rage in the wrong direction. I called you neither 'delicate', nor a 'snowflake' (though I now think you are both). I do agree with you on your point about you being an asshole though. I was pointing out that your accusation against u/Kynicist was employing a logical fallacy of false equivalence: saying that because he didn't agree with you that he's a feminist. While we're on the subject I think it is also using the logical fallacy of black-and-white, sug…

Well now you're just arguing semantics. If you do a quick Google search on 'define adultery' it will return: noun. voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and a person who is not his or her spouse. Trump has cheated on every one of the multiple wives he's had. In fact, he hasn't even shown remorse for it but bragged about it. Furthermore, the fact that you would try to make an exception for one gender on this subject goes against everything this subreddit stands for.

My wife works in ministry. They have moral rules in place that say that you can’t work there if you get divorced, except in cases of infidelity or abuse.
