–	Why aren't males attending singles events anymore? I want to know whether men ever attended them en masse. Was there a highpoint year of men attending them? I went to some speed dating thing a decade ago and it was poorly organized and I was 1 of 2 guys and six unattractive women. If she's 'testing' and coming from that evaluation frame from the jump, the man is not going on a 2nd date. Every single time I have taken a woman out to an upscale restaurant (at the time, my thinking was"to show her that I am serious"), it backfired on me. Ghosted, stopped reaching out, etc. The name of the game is to keep it very casual during the first few months. That is how I have actually gotten into LTRs. 3	Does self improvement cause men to become resentful towards women? Personality definitely means very little for sure. I found that out when I slept with a girl on the first night who spoke very broken English (lived in Italy but was Bulgarian). –	Why do so many women ask to be choked? Is it because they believe men enjoy this? 42, definitely have purchased some DVDS. In the mid 00s, it was still a pain to get high quality stuff on the Internet. You might have be able to find a scene here or there on Limewire or other p2ps but it was hard to get full movies. I used to rent DVDs when I was in college. 1	In your opinion, what are your thoughts on NYC dating scene, is it as bad as they say? You can look at just about every online dating study ever done. White guys are preferred overwhelmingly. I don't even know why I have to explain that. And I lived almost a decade in NYC, all types of friends of different backgrounds.
